Excessive rolling when turning or at speed

I just had my summer tires (on wheels) put on my 2016 LR4 (33000 miles) and the local indie replaced rear pads and rotors. They were below state inspection limits. Now, however, the car rolls like crazy at highway speeds and when I turn the wheel, for example turning onto the road and...

    Extended Warranty Debate

Is that a LR plan or some other insurance? Could you let us know? My factory warranty runs out in a few months. Thank you Frank

    Another Defender hint?

I see the pillar but it doesn’t look nearly as wide as the metal square.

    Another Defender hint?

Yeah, but the point was that the sales guy at the Bedford NH JLR said one can order glass instead of the obstruction. That’s a biggie. I would never buy a vehicle with that obstruction built in for no reason.

    Another Defender hint?

Took my LR4 to deaker’s yesterday to catch some electrical gremlins and was talking with one of the sales guys. Apparently (according to him) that “blind spot panel” can be replaced by optional glass. Didn’t know that. He also allowed that discovery sales have been so poor that there’s talk of...

    Manhattan Jaguar Land Rover

Yes, one could say that. However the Yelp service reviews are very scary. I was gonna be in NYC for a couple weeks and thought I might have some service done but was scared off by the Yelp reviews. Wanted sane comments.

    Dying Electrical?

Battery is 6 mos old. Interstate. Steering wheel heat a bit wonky for a while but. Not like this.

    Dying Electrical?

On a longish trip (250 mi) steering wheel heat quit and the light on the heat switch went out. Then I got a message that the econo mode was not available and the orange light went on indicating it was non operational. The switch had no effect. I have a voltmeter plugged into the cigarette...

    Heated Steering Wheel Not Working

It seems to be erratic. Mine conked out completely yesterday then later in day got slightly warm but very slowly. It sometimes used to get uncomfortably warm but not recently.

    Heated Steering Wheel Not Working

My 2016 steering wheel is acting funny. Sometimes it gets very warm, sometimes just barely, today it quit entirely. After I shut down and restarted again the heat was working but it still is variable.

    Height change is sick

2016 LR4, 29,000 mi I was just driving through a few inches of snow and raised the height to “off-road” The rear lurched at the end of travel. I then lowered it to normal and it lurched again. I got to my driveway and cycled height a few times and each time there was a lurch. I again tried to...

    Key fob pealing

There’s a product called Pliobond that is very good for this kind of thing. You can get a small tube or a big tub. I use it to glue leather, anything flexible such as shoes. Good to know about. Gorillas glue is amazing but not that flexible. Pliobond is excellent for dissimilar materials.

    Another Defender hint?

Very well said. Different vehicles attract certain “types” of people. Same with a lot of other things.

The Quest for A Durable Front Crossover Pipe

Well, yes. The weakest spot will fail first. In the absence of some sort of expansion joint, like a short selsyn bellows, the strain is gonna bust something.

The Quest for A Durable Front Crossover Pipe

Often wondered how much of the failure rate of this part is due to stress ao thermal expansion/contraction. The coefficient of thermal expansion of aluminum is high and would a solid aluminum pipe fixed at both ends not be stressed to the poin where it might also fail? Sounds as tho BeemerNut’s...

    2010 LR4

Can you slice the shirt to as close to the hatch as possible and then try ripping it? Might be able to free up a few inches which is all you’ll need.

This is what happens if you don’t listen to your LR4

I was just thinking that! Or maybe coolant is the Brit’s new oil?

    NEK Vermont LR4 Mechanic Rec.?

New England Motorsport in Wilder Vt (exit 12 or 13 from I91) is maybe a tad closer timewise. They work on my LR. They also do Jag, BMW, M-Bs, Audis. Good people. They are also Tirerack affiliates.
