Ive seen a lot of threads on this and other forums about the air compressor dying, but i've never found one related with an audio file that is similar to mine.
I've heard all the sounds of the compressor whining, or the air bags or tank leaking, but i've not heard one before like what I've got...
I've decided to wait to contact the dealership until I have the title in hand and I can just drive there. So whenever that happens I'll update this thread.
Service department closed early on Friday for some reason, and they're closed on Sat and Sun. So I figured in the mean time I'd check to see if anyone else had done this and they had success. I will call them next week, but I wanted to get the lay of the land on the issue (so to speak) while...
I'm sorry, I don't understand how this is an answer to my question. I appreciate the reply, but it's not about what I asked.
Yes I know I bought a vehicle as-is where-is. I'm not confused about that.
1 year parts and labor doesn't have anything to do with if there is a policy against a...
I'm actually not, I just didn't post a a ton of extra info because I was just trying to keep it focused on the main question... does Land Rover have a policy around Service History.
The Car has codes for misfires in Cyl 4, Ignition Coil D Primary Control Circuit/Open, and Cyl 4 Injector A...
Thanks! I've already found some funny business with other electrical lines, so I suspected this might be another. Thanks for the info.
Thanks! I appreciate the confirmation.
Appreciate the help guys.
I've just recently picked up another LR4 at auction, and after pulling its CarFax, I can see that its mostly been dealt with by one dealership. It was sold new there, then traded in and sold again. It recently went back to the dealership quite a few times in the last 1000 miles, with the last...
Did something change on site?
I've got 43 posts, I'm a supporting member, but when I check to see if my recent post has any replies, and I see that it's pending mod approval?
What would have caused my posts to have to get approval? I think on my first post needed approval before, all my others...
Thanks. I need to get some snow tires on though, hopefully I'll get my other wheels back from being powder-coated so I can throw on some winter tires before the next storm hits.
I recently picked up a 2016 Lux at Auction, and I'm just starting to get into what it wrong, and after noticing the obvious electrical line to Injector 4 being cut, I went around the rest of the motor and found this random plug dangling on the back passenger side of the engine. It was getting...
I finally got the time to install my X-Lifter today. Turns out, if you tuck the power wire behind the panel, you don't need their little 3d printed holder. It fits perfectly. Don't even need tape/velcro to keep it in place either.
After digging around the internet for an hour or so today, I did find some harness info which I'll update in the main post.
It does appear that the 2 speed transfer case uses a different trans harness than the 1 speed. I was kinda hoping the plug was just capped off. But thankfully this is just...
Found what I was looking for while searching for a few other things.

This still works: https://landroverforums.com/forum/vindecoder.php
But I know its not 100% accurate. I've run it on cars that I know have certain options that site doesn't show them. But it's the best free thing that's available.
I have an Autel MK900-BT that I use for the rest of my cars; but for the Landy... I definitely use the Gap tool far more. If I have to do serious diagnostics, I'd probably use the Autel, but for just simple code checking or reading sensor data, the GAP is definitely good enough.
I've never been able to find an LR4 in the configuration I really wanted. I wanted a 15 or 16 model, preferably a 16. My friend had one that was close to what I wanted, so when he was thinking of getting rid of it I jumped on his. Color was a big determining factor. If I was going to get an...
I tried, trust me I tried. I live in a rural area so no yards around me have any Land Rovers. When I did searching around this summer, the closest yard I could find was about 3 hours away. :(
I tried with a few sellers I've gotten LR4 stuff from before, but the response I got was either that they dont usually keep random bolts, or that the vehicle was stripped so long ago that they would have gotten rid harware like that by now.
I sometimes debate doing this, and I've done some research but havent found that much that's conclusive. I was going to post this in other threads people had, but I didn't want it to seem like I was bombing their threads, and since I've just got info on parts compatibility, maybe its best for to...
Mine didn't come with Heated Seats or a Heated Steering wheel, but does have a heated windshield somehow. I've got a 16, so maybe the factory just slapped one in because they had them on hand, IDK. I've got a heated steering wheel to swap into mine, but I'm waiting until I get all the bits...
I was looking around trying to find part numbers for the short Door Trim pieces from a 15/16 LR4 in Walnut (which I was unable to find) and I came upon an LR4 that came with a wooden heated steering wheel... What trim level is this? Anyone know the part number for it?
This one is in Illinois...
I've searched around but never found an answer, so I figured I'd ask. Is there a legend for what the colored plugs on the LR4 seat connector represent?
When I was hunting for parts to swap heated seats into mine, I noticed that there's a wide variety of what plugs are in the seat base, and...
