I assume what you are saying that all four wheel together add up to over 8,000 pounds which is correct. I think the reason for the high rating of each wheel is that it is not uncommon for the 3 to be momentarily balancing on two wheels under difficult off road conditions. In those rare cases... -

Gear arrived today and as advertised. That was pretty quick from Turkey - ordered Feb 3 and arrived Feb 10. I expect these guys in Turkey make the OEM parts so it is probably made of good material. It will be spring however before I install it as a preventative maintenance item. -
Suspension, air compressor question
It looks like you have the AMK replacement compressor for the original Hitachi. There are some parts available for the older Hitachi which was OEM on the 2005 to about 2010 vehicles, but the newer AMK, I have not heard of any parts yet being available. That does not mean there are no parts... -

Thanks - I just ordered the gear. It will be spring when it warms up before I do the fix, but at least I will have the part - hopefully it will fit the motor in my 2005 LR3 so let you know in a few months. My motor sounds OK but the 3 is now about 12 years old so the nylon should be getting... -
