Oh yeah, that was me. I had about 1 year on the Lucky8 polys before it left me stranded on the simplest trail. I've done some pretty tough trails before and lead me to this failure. I really think the polys are too stiff and stresses the load to other parts of the LCA. -

@George Perry - MB A few of us here have this H.O. Alternator it's only 250A, but does a great job. Just know that the "smart" bms will still regulate power and it's normal to see ranges between 12.5V to 14.6V. I monitor mine ALL the time. -

I would have to tell you that the oil catch can is only useful on bank 1. I'm working on a version 2 of it so that I can still use the engine cover. Without the engine cover, you're susceptible to getting sand into the injector holes. I'll post something on it when I get my engine put back... -

I've used both aluminum Front Runner and the ASFIR sump guards. They're both pretty stout, banged through a lot of things with them and kept my truck intact. Aluminum is lighter if you're into the whole weight savings. -
How fast MPH can you shift into 4L?
Here's another document that'll add some more confusion. Again, I typically go 10 mph before dropping it into (N) and selecting Lo gear, and popping it back to (D) without any issues. I didn't know that you can go a little faster from Lo to Hi. -

Assuning you'll be replacing front/rear crossover pipes, water pump, oil cooler pipe, and thermostat it should take you 4 hours tops. BUT there's always 1 or 2 non-compliant bolts that'll just ruin that timeline. :beer: -

I'm typically in 2nd gear or going less than 10 mph dropping down to 4L. D to N, 4L, and back to D. Now I'm wondering if it's possible to do it while going faster. -
Routing for stout wires from battery to back?
4 awg is more than enough, but I think you can go up to 2 awg. I highly recommend marine wire or OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) and stick to AWG (American Wire Gauge) sizes. Not a fan of CCA (Copper Clad Aluminum). -
