    2015 LR4 SCV6 Gas Mileage

My skid plates and sliders saw a lot of action. There are a few rocks hiding in the middle of the trail in bushes.

Changing from Low to high and vise-versa while moving?

Funny, I just did this past weekend. Went to N while rolling downhill while foot on brakes slowing down to around 5 mph, shifted hi/lo, and put it back in D with no issues. Then around 5-10 mph on N went from lo/hi on a flat plateau, and shifted to D without issues.

    2015 LR4 SCV6 Gas Mileage

I just got back from a 4th of July trip out in the Eastern Sierras in CA. Went from Bishop 4,100' elevation to Coyote Flats top ridge 10,000', explored around with lots of elevation changes between 8,000' to 11,100', through Sugarloaf, dropped back into Big Pine with a total trip of 54 miles...

It's amazing to see it all coming together! I'm going broke just watching this come to fruition.

    Silicone key fob covers

Thought I'd share this as well, I was tired of replacing my key fob case from falling apart. After I replaced mine for the 3rd time, I had these on for almost 2 years and still going strong. Amazon search, "LR4 silicone key fob" and both key fob types are available.

    Perfect platform mattress

It's a tad too high and hard to move around with my ceiling storage. 3-4 inches lower would be perfect to clear my 2nd row mounted fridge.

    Perfect platform mattress

@powershift I made a folding platform and it's currently 14" tall to accommodate Plano sportsman bins, but it's too tall. I need to revise, lower it about 4 inches and add some drawers. I have another Exped Megamat Duo 10 (green one) , but queen size and I use it in the rtt. I love these...

    Perfect platform mattress

No one asked, but I found the perfect self-inflating air mattress. It's an Exped Deepsleep Mat 7.5 Duo size Medium Double.

    2013 auto high beam assist

Honestly, I dislike the auto high beam with my vision assist package. Probably, just me. :shot:

Is it a leaking passenger side valve cover gasket?

I highly recommend replacing all your cooling components with oem. If you're replacing your valve cover gaskets, you're halfway to the timing chains. I've had good luck with Elwis gaskets, they've been good to me.

    ftillier's maintenance history

@ftillier I have a huge folder of invoices and I'm scared to itemize and break down costs. It's a very sophisticated truck with a lot of tedious maintenance and I love mine enough to pay to play.

    ftillier's maintenance history

Oh god... why did you do this? My list is pretty extensive, including but not limited to everything you did plus 2 transmissions (1 new and 1 used), timing chain, exhaust manifold gaskets, 2x rear driveshafts, new cooling components twice, new air suspension overhaul, new front diff, countless...

    Marketplace/Craigslist finds?

Not sure if the MudTech 18" is a direct bolt-on for the LR4s in the states. I've downsized my brakes to the Euro TDV6 brakes to accommodate 17s with 285/70r17 tires and love them. I want to go bigger tires, but my fuel consumption is telling me no.

Road Trip, now have CEL with P0420

You can check the injector pulse-width live values. They should all be very close together and if one is off you'll know it pretty quickly.

Road Trip, now have CEL with P0420

    1. Mine turned out to be an exhaust leak between the exhaust manifold and downpipes on both sides. I used a cheap smoke tester and plugged it through the tail pipes(s) to find the leak between the up stream and down stream O2 sensors. After I fixed it, I cleared the adapations on GAP to let it...

LR4 ARB Rear Locker is possible!

Reviving my own thread, I know... I just noticed the ARB locker added the 5.0 V8 LR4s to the supported fitment on their website. https://store.arbusa.com/air-locker-differential-lr-discovery-3-4-fr-29-spl-rd217/?Year=2011&Make=Land%20Rover&Model=LR4

    Checking oil level - immediately

I'd prefer an "ol school" dipstick, but this is way better than waiting a decade for it to register. :shot:

    Checking oil level - immediately

Tired of filling your oil and not knowing if it's enough or wanting to check your oil level immediately without starting/stopping and waiting 10-15 mins? Found this gem and it's THE best thing ever.

Need help with replacement of low pressure fuel line!

I seriously just did this not too long ago where the plastic quick disconnect disintegrated. To get access from up top, I removed the battery and box around it. For access underneath, I removed the skid plates (if you have any). I didn't want to buy a replacement hose #6 in the second picture...

    LR4 ... radiator leak?

I highly recommend replacing all cooling items as you planned plus the radiator. I also recommend getting everything from fcpeuro.com if you can, simply for their lifetime warranty. Also only get oem parts for cooling and electrical sensors. I recently did my radiator too and my comment on...

    Battery Draw

A 304Ah Lifepo4 battery setup is pretty cool, unfortunately the Triaxide setup won't work with it. You'll want a DC to DC charger with a lithium profile to properly charge it. I have a Redarc BCDC1225D with solar input to keep my secondary fully charged at all times and I love that thing.

    DIY Cargo/Sleeping platform

My setup changes depending on passengers. If my family of 3 is with me, I need the second row. My fridge stays in the middle as it's THE most stable section of the vehicle and beer cans don't pop on bumpy fast trails. The 2nd row seats on the sides on the other hand gets replaced by the storage...

    DIY Cargo/Sleeping platform

Yeah, my biggest gripe about my setup is lack of space with the overhead storage and ridiculously high platform. I'm a small guy and I barely fit up there. I'm a side sleeper and and I hit stuff attached to the overhead storage. I might end up building drawers and lowering the platform. Who...
