Is this a failing crossover pipe?

I completely flushed out front and rear hvac till clear and switched to dexcool, simply for availability. Imagine having cooling issues deep in the middle of nowhere and somehow you dump a ton of coolant in +100*F weather. You only carry 1 gallon of coolant. Luckily a Jeep and I carry dexcool...

    Leaking timing cover repair

I have the same truck, so, I know from first hand experience doing it myself. I'd also suggest doing both LH and RH valve cover gaskets since rubber has a life expectancy, and it would suck to do it no too long after doing this one. You'll need to start with a cool engine. - Remove the engine...

    Oil extractor

I have an oil extractor, and I use it specifically for that. I'm about to redo my fluids again, but this time I picked up this little guy specifically to put fluid in.

    Leaking timing cover repair

Unfortunately, the correct answer is no. It's a valve cover gasket that needs to be replaced.

    Misfiring Cyl 2/4/6 ?? 2015 LR4

@scapistron I typically see individual or an entire bank misfire. For it to misfire between both banks is uncommon, but not unheard of. For oil to drip onto your plugs, it sounds like your spark plug and valve gaskets are starting to go. Have you tried smoke testing it? I'm guessing that could...

Front-end suspension rattle and banging is gone!

If you're doing the timing chain, there's a lot you can replace along the way. You'll probably be more meticulous than any mechanic by doing it yourself. I've done the timing chains myself and it's not terrible after doing it several times. I've even got the chains to fit so snug that there's...

What jack do you recommend to store in your trunk?

I carry a 2T and 8T bottle jack. Here's how I swap a single tire with a 2T bottle jack . 8T with 2x6 boards for everything else. Scissor jack as a backup.

Poor idle control with AC on

Hmm... I had no idea that's what it did. Thanks for enlightening us (me)!

Poor idle control with AC on

You'll need to remove the throttle body, fuelrail cross pipe, unplug harness for iac and map sensors, and bolts holding the intake manifold. Once the intake manifold is removed, you'll see the iac attached to it.

Any DIY tips out there on replacing a 2016 LR4 SCV6 Thermostat Housing?

Just do it the right way and it'll be way easier.

Poor idle control with AC on

Those connectors are blanked off on purpose. The older version of these coolant hoses were routed different.

    Lucky 8 SYA Kit Problem

Only if you're getting the SYA kit. Otherwise, just use the xlifter. Just looking at the images, are you measuring from the ground to the top of the wheel arch? You should measure from the center cap of the wheel to the top of the wheel arch and just by looking at it you definitely need to...

Poor idle control with AC on

There is an IAC on the back side of the intake manifold towards the firewall. There's a possibility that one of the vacuum hoses is leaking.

    2011 LR4 TIMING JOB

If you have patience and some wrenching skills, it's doable if you do it carefully without rushing. I've done mine at least twice for different reasons. My biggest concern about yours is that timing jumped. My buddy's timing jumped and it tore apart a lot of things, including bent valves.

    Lucky 8 SYA Kit Problem

@Blueaz A few of us had to relocate the coolant hoses for the rear HVAC, specifically over the RH front and rear tire well. The front frame horns had to be cut too. I didn't have to mess with the AC lines. That's the main reason why I have the SYA (Save Your A$$) kit, and it has more pros than...

    GAP IID Tool help urgent

This just means that your height sensors are out of range and it dropped to the bump stops as a precaution. To fix this, jack the truck up to "normal" height. Measure from the top wheel arch to the center hub cap of the wheel to 466mm (18 3/8") for the front and the rear is 485mm (19 1/8")...

Tried to get my suspension fixed

What I would do is drive to service center, park with the truck still running, plug in the Gap, put it into tight tolerance mode, and shut off the truck. I tell them, "Don't unplug the odb2" and the "suspension light is ON, on purpose". They take the keys, drive it around back, and come back...

Smart Key not Found - Help

Hard resets are recommended to "fix" weird electrical issues. I think there was a missing step to wait 10 minutes prior to battery leads touching in the hard reset procedure previously mentioned. - Remove both battery leads from the battery posts - Wait 10 minutes for ecus and other modules to...

Toll-road RDIF sticker on LR4 windshield

We have FasTrak rfid transponders in Southern California and I have zero issues with mine velcro stuck to the windshield behind the rear view mirror in the black dotted portion. The heating element of the windshield doesn't affect the rfid frequency that FasTrak uses.

Tried to get my suspension fixed

Lemforder is oem manufacturer and are roughly $180 each, if you can get it cheaper than that from the dealership go for it. Just for the pure fact that it's lifetime warranty, I'd do it in a heart beat. If you have Firestone Complete Auto Care around you, I'd highly recommend getting lifetime...

Tried to get my suspension fixed

Seriously, do the oil and lower control arms yourself. Get everything from FCPeuro.com and it's lifetime warranty, including the oil. Oil changes on this is stupid easy, remove oil cap, insert "Fluid Extractor" tube on the tube, hand pump fluid extractor to extract fluid until "empty"...

    Thoughts on these spark plugs?

I would check out the Live Values on STFT and LTFT on both bank 1 and bank 2 after swapping in the new plugs. IF both banks are really off and/or +/-10%, then yes I would Clear Adaptation Values to reset the ECU into learning mode. I personally would Clear Adaptation Values when changing...

    Random Wire under Cup Holder

If you get a cooler box, it's plug n play. As for your bluetooth issue, the bluetooth module is in the RH plastic side panel between the C and D pillars (2nd and 3rd row).

    Thoughts on these spark plugs?

I agree @ktm525... Champions are terrible. I personally prefer Denso over NGK, but that's my personal preference. I like the Denso Long Life, but you'll have to gap them to 0.040". Otherwise, they're pregapped. Get new plugs in and see if the misfires go away.
