Hard, jarring, harsh ride over holes and road imperfections

yes, the poly bushings are much harder/harsher than oem. The oems are softer and oil filled. I run Meyle HD arms and the ride is great but they last longer than the JLR ones.

    CEL, P0174

Ok, closing the loop here. Replaced the PCV valves 2 weeks ago. Both were hard, the rear one did have a small split. CEL is off and has stayed off for 350 miles so far.

    Beware ye plastic sill covers!

not great but be glad you didn't have the side steps---they really cause the sills to rust out

    CEL, P0174

ok, while waiting on new PCV valves, CEL now indicates p0174 and p0171 so thinking this it probably going to be it since it is now both banks.

2011 lr4 started popping the CEL today. code p0174. i know this is lean code for bank 2. Thinking possibly PCV valves as they have never been renewed to my knowledge or possible upstream 02 sensor. what is the most likely cause on these vehicles?

    Need for some advice

i would only use JLR crossovers and metal are not available for the NA v8 so plastic. I would do the front and rear crossovers, thermostat and housing, waterpump and oil cooler to waterpump tube. I always us a vacuum filler on these engines as well when refilling the coolant. Easy engine to get...

Camshaft regulator failure - advise needed

i don't believe this is a common occurrence with the AJ engines. I agree with the others that think there is probably enough swarf circulated through the engine that unless completely disassembled and rebuilt, would probably not sink $$ in the top end.

Coolant Smell After Driving and Temperature Gauge Reading

factory coolant is able to be seen with a UV light. You can poke around with that and see what you can find but with supercharger in place, you will not be able to see much of the suspects

2011 lr4 cliking noises coming through speakers

ok, for posterity. after tightening the positive battery cable the clicking went away at idle however when driving it was still doing it and driving him crazy. Replacing Lower Control Arms 2016 LR4 HD

as long as the arms were not rusted or cracked replacement of bushings is ok. most mechanics replace the arms as it is much easier and less time consuming to do; however, the newest lr4s are now 9 years old so the arms are at risk for rust, cracking, metal fatigue etc.

ok, replaced the RH bank solenoid last night..what a pig of a job! Pretty easy except that torx securing bolt that is in a place that you cannot get your fingers on it. spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to keep it from dropping when loosened then it dropped down into never never land...

    2013 LR4 (v8) coolant leak

JLR has produced aluminum crossover pipes for the 3.0v6 but the NA v8 still uses the plastic pipes unless you want to go aftermarket [mixed reviews on them]. I would use the jlr plastic pipes and also use JLR pump. while you are in there, replace the heater manifold as well [rear crossover]
