Just got my truck in for servicing today. They confirmed exactly what I thought and both front lower control arm bushings need replacing. Only 28,000 miles on my 2013. I do a fair bit of off-roading and it is the Middle East, so the heat can't be easy on the rubber.
Local LR service center is...
Understatement of the year.
Starts at $42k on top of the price of a Jeep and goes WAY up from there.
No way on earth I'd pay anywhere near that for a Jeep.
*edit*
Here is the realistic pricing. Most are around $120k

I have had my truck (2013) since new and I have another gremlin to add to the confusion.
Occasionally my subwoofer often decides not to turn itself on when initially turning on the stereo / starting the vehicle with it already on. I know this is a software gremlin and not hardware because if...
Yea, I had my windows tinted with a high quality film called V-Cool.

They have some great reviews and they guy in the shop claimed it can block certain RF signals, which I kind of scoffed at. Needless to say, about 90% of the time my cell phone's GPS (Samsung S6...
I have picked up quite a few genuine LR4 parts from eBay for a fraction of dealer cost. Look for sellers with lots of feedback and some are actually from LR repair shops themselves.

The problem is the rear door swings down and would be completely unusable. It would have to sit so absurdly high to avoid the bumper on its swing down, you would block the entire rear window. Also, that would make the thing really heavy and unwieldy to try and close! Most trucks that have spares...
The EAS override is worth it alone for me. I run in the desert and there are plenty of places it flattens out into hard pack only for it to go back to rolling dunes minutes later. Rinse and repeat. The stupid auto lower feature over 50kmh would drop my stock lifted height all the damn time. This...
The IIDTool will save all of your factory presets when you first configure it. As you play with the air suspension, you can save different "profiles" under your own settings. If you ever need to revert back to stock, it takes seconds. I always put everything back to the stock default on my truck...
Definitely look nice. Let me know how if it throws any canbus errors. Though, I doubt I could justify $150 pair of fogs when it is foggy only a couple months of the year here!
Roverman hit the nail on the head. You have to use quite a bit of force and prying at the correct angles. Just keep at it and they will eventually come out. When you think you are pulling too hard, pull harder. I think I had bleeding fingers in the end.
Agree with most points here. The only reason I went with the 285/60s was because my off roading here in the desert is almost exclusively sand. I need the "float". If I were stateside, I would probably go with 265/65 like most everyone else.
The instructions walk you through it, but I believe there is a limit how far you can extend and each truck's limit is different by a few mm. I believe my lift is around 45mm front and back. It's been a long time since I set it up though. Once you go through the hassle once, you just save the EAS...
Air suspension (with IIDTool) is one of my favorite things about the LR4! Normal comfort and height commuting around town, off road capability at the press of a button! Pretty damn slick.
While it looks great, off road functionality is highly questionable. Useless wheel / tire combo and as always the RRS makes major sacrifices for ground clearance and approach / departure angles.
Yet, those cookie cutter wheels will severely limit aftermarket wheel / tire combos. The spy shots look far more like a minivan wheel / tire combo to me too. I just do not want to see this vehicle taken even further away from its off-road capability. The base Discovery already fills the...
The one thing I was reading in reviews about the Phillips LEDs that you linked is there is no built-in CANBUS resistor and you will most likely get an error stating the bulbs are out. The LEDs I used did have this and wasn't an issue.
Also interested to hear your results.
Kinda bummed we lose the split tailgate with the little Z shape to it. I enjoy sitting on the shorter part of the tailgate with the longer glass overhang protecting from the elements.
I just hope at the very least the truck retains the split tailgate.
Eh.. kinda figured it out with Google image search. (YouTube is blocked here)
Thankfully, I have a whole stash of CR2032 batteries at work too! Job done.
For what it is worth, there is no button or battery tray on this 2013 key fob. You basically pry the two halves of plastic apart to get to...
Zombie thread resurrection here.
My 2013 LR4 started displaying "Smart Key Battery Low". My entire User Manual is in Arabic.
I am reading AxelR's post:
"Press the top little black release button on the top side (opposite to the key ring).
At the same time pull on the metal side with key...
