I ran 265/70 with nothing more than proud rhino rods on our 2007 LR3.
On the 06 with coil overs I didn't have to make any changes until I hit 33x12.50r18
On it I had run 275/65, 265/70 and 285/65 (this had light rubbing on the wheel well liner under full lock)
It was my first LR3 starter as well the electrical connection was the source of difficulty just had to use some patience, which is not my greatest virtue.
At least your starter gave you a heads up mine just outright died.
I cannot really comment as I have only driven that truck extremely briefly around camp. It definitely had more power on 35’s than I do in my LR3 on 33’s. It pulled away from me on the highway, like I was tied to something lol.
Gears are really needed for 33 and greater on the LR3 in my mind...
I didn't feel the narrower tire was giving enough foot print for the LR3 so I decided to give wider a try. I can stuff the tire fully with minor trimming.
Spring spacers on the OME HD springs can be done but I feel reliability of the CVs would be questionable when you are driving 1500 highway...
