    2012 LR4 H/K subwoofer > No longer working

At first i put an aftermarket subwoofer into the tailgate after the original one quit on me. It sounded way better, but the tailgate isn’t the best spot for a subwoofer. Its not sealed properly for acoustics. It sounded like a speaker in a tin can. I made a small thin custom box that fits in the...

    2012 LR4 H/K subwoofer > No longer working

My LR4 rattles my chest and bums. Do yourself a favor guys, upgrade the subwoofer. Doesn’t matter if you’re into classical, country, reggae, or rap music .

    2010 LR4 - L319 with persistent P0018-00 (28) trouble code

I had the same code for a day during extremely cold weather. My chains sound good? It idles pretty quietly. It went away the next day and its been a few months since. I honestly barely drive it though cause of that issue until i get my chains done. It must’ve skipped timing ever so slightly...

Tuffant Simpson 18" Alloys in Smoked Gray

When i first saw it on tuffant i was like heck no, but now seeing them on your truck against the blue? Pretty damn good looking boss.

Is HD package so useful in snow?

I have the “poor mans” LR4 2011 HSE without the electronic locking diff. I’ve never had trouble with anything i’ve ever thrown at it. I live in NYC and we do get decent snow around here.

    Exhaust solutions?

So it doesn’t matter what route you take, the rover will still idle quietly and pulling into your driveway at 11:45pm will not wake anyone as long as you’re light on the throttle. It’s more of a low humming sound. A start however….is a different story…esp a cold one in the morning hahah

    2015 US LR4 Tailgate won't open

extremely common issue that unfortunately will affect every LR4 owner eventually....

    non-decorative-capped lugnut availability?

Usually inadequate shops use sockets that don't quite fit the lugs, and they torque the crap out of them. If you use the correct socket for any lug and never use an air impact wrench you'd never have a problem. Torque everything down with a torque wrench by hand. To remove just use a wrench with...

    Died when went Into reverse.

Do the “mirror hack” screen on your infotainment system and check your battery voltage when running. In the event the screen menu options are foreign to you. Just go to vehicle signals and it gives you battery voltage. It beats opening the hood and hooking a tool up to it. Should see something...

    Died when went Into reverse.

Deff your alt crapped out on you buddy? I had weird issues like that a week prior to complete failure where the alt was dead and the truck drained the battery completely.

    Exhaust solutions?

curious as well, magnapacks on my truck with an X pipe and straight pipes to the tip sound amazing, but drone like a bihhhhhh....not that 28 y.o me cares.

Hard shift into drive or reverse when cold

I had this same exact issue honestly, I have a 2011 with the 6 speed however. At 75k miles i changed the pan to the metal pan/filter combo and refilled with ZF fluid. The shifting characteristics were the same. I messed up the gasket and it was sweating fluid for a while. It would take days for...

    Rear lower hatch sound deadening?

Hey all, has anyone sealed up their rear lower hatch with any type of sound deadening material? I'm getting too much exhaust sound from my muffler delete. I'm just trying to decrease the sound a bit for the rear seat passengers haha. I've thought about Dynamat, those square foam sheets on...

    Quick Compressor Replacement Question

So wait guys, the front valve block is by the front passenger wheel well, and the rear valve block is by the compressor in the rear? They’re are only two valve blocks correct?

Prolonged engine choke operation when starting from cold

are we really discussing carbon footprint here with an LR4? hahaha but yeah @txfromwi makes a valid point....

    Rear hatch issue

Maybe an issue with the keyfob? Sending signals to the truck? Could be you have a undetected slow cabin water intrusion messing with wires? That happens from clogged sunroof drains and warped windshield cowls. Or: its a battery. You never know with these trucks lol.

    compressor service

Pull the negative cable on the battery, or the air suspension relay under the hood overnight. You might want to take care of that slight air loss you’re having. It may be nothing now, but a slow leak doesn’t get smaller. As for the compressor I’d leave it until it throws a code. Usually its a...

    compressor service

How many miles on the rig? In my opinion the Hitachi compressor is pretty darn reliable, dare i say even more than the AMK. It definitely lasts about 10 years or more. What brings any of the two pumps down is leaky air struts, defective valve blocks, and leaking air tank reservoir. Those things...

    Did I break something?

They see the brand and get all excited thinking they're going to sucker the owners of these trucks and make a quick buck. It's the same as doing an alignment on any car. Yeah its bigger and heavier, but it takes the same damn tools as a Honda civic lol. I'd ask for a printout of the values...

    SAD ENDING TO OUR LR4

That color alone is a reasonable point as to why your truck might me worth more than lets say a white or black one in my opinion. It's a less produced color and gives it extra value due to its rarity. Maybe I'm wrong, but its a good point to bring up with your adjuster.

    Higher output alternator?

uhm so from cold start my truck jumps to 14.6 volts. After about a few minutes of driving it goes down to 13.7. It stays there until I use my front windshield heaters of defoggers. Once those kick on I see voltage at 12.2. The voltage goes up back to 13.7 once I'm driving at 1/2 throttle at 2.5k...

    Higher output alternator?

Thanks for the input dude. I did think about adding a capacitor, but figured an upgraded alt would've worked best. Since you put it that way along with the lack of high output alts for these trucks, ill deff be going to capacitor route. Maybe a second battery as well in case i ever do **** off...

    Higher output alternator?

Has anyone come across a better alternator than the stock Denso 150amp OEM one? I've seen 250amp ones at 1.5k rpm for the LR3, but nothing solid for the LR4. There is one company that makes a 240 and 320amp alternator for the LR4. I'm really skeptical of them and think that their alternators...

Need some help/advice on my washer fluid pump...I think

So the cheaper generic scan tools only read PCM codes like engine fault codes (check engine light). You'd definitely need the IID tool or any other LR specific or high end scanner tools. I personally have the RSW solutions tool, but IID is the best for these vehicles since my RSW tool didn't...
