2011 5.0 V8: can idle for 15 mins from a cold start and still not move from cold.....Once you drive it lightly it warms up in about 5 mins to operating temp. The 2011 stock LR “Varta” batteries lasted 2.5 years on the dot! Anything put on these trucks are rebranded “Vartas”. They suck! -
2011 LR4 5.0 vacuum pump torque specs anyone?
Tight enough by hand buddy. Done plenty vacuum pump jobs. Twice on two separate LR4’s. Don’t overthink it. Make it “snug”, then give it a big sharp fast “tight” then back off immediately! Suspension parts and engine internals need to be torqued to spec imho. -
Engine gone

Hey everyone. I scuffed this panel on the passenger side many years ago. I tried covering it up with a paint marker few weeks ago. Now it looks like crap. Does anyone know what the part number is? I’ve looked at countless parts diagrams on those dealer part sites. Maybe i’m missing it. Please help! -

yeah do not tighten down the control arm bolts with the wheel free hanging. It needs to be jacked up whilst you torque the control arm up. -

no it had xenons already, but the bulbs were like 10 year old. The brights are halogens which i'm sure you know, i didn't swap those. i guess the output degrades overtime with the xenon bulbs. With new xenon bulbs in, it was a huge difference. i also adjusted/aimed the headlights for the first... -

2013 to 2014 Face Lift Headlight Install
I think the 10-13 headlights are better than the newer headlights. Light output is way better. I drove both a 2011 and a 2015 and the 2011 is way better. I swapped in some new xenons in the 2011 housing and man on man they light up down two nyc blocks. -

LR Castrol OEM oil is the same as the readily available Castrol Edge oil found at Autozone. Only difference is dye thats added to the Castrol OEM LR stuff. -
