I assume so, the engine swap was done body-on. I’ve seen quite a few people remove the heads body-on. I’m going to do the NS300L kit and may remove the grill, radiator & AC condenser. May as well replace the radiator and all belt driven accessories. What else should I do while it’s apart... -

Haven’t cracked it open yet but I believe a head bolt has loosened. Based on what I’ve read and conversations I’ve had, they should’ve used heli coils BC the soft blocks are extremely prone to thread degradation after a reman or rebuild. If I were a betting man that’s where I’d place my wager. -

Third head gasket job- why are they failing?
1st 3 were cooling system taking a dump. Finally figured out the “rebuilt” engine wasn’t rebuilt. Now the reman that has about 40k miles on it is pressurizing the cooling system. I’m guessing a head bolt has lost torque. Apparently it’s common if they don’t use block inserts on reassembly. -

original made 192k miles. Cheapest aftermarket on Rock Auto lasted about 200 miles. Well, it may last 192k if I run their cap but no thanks. I’d like my coolant to be operating at the correct pressure. -

It wasn’t leaking. Til it did. Threads failed on the aftermarket tank. Picking up a LR tank today - that one was terrible from a quality perspective. Couldn’t hold designated pressure hence the 110kpa cap. -

Been running original cap with 0 issues. Interesting enough, the system is no longer over pressurized at operating temp. No swollen hoses. No pressure the next morning. I’m a bit concerned lol. It’s acting normal. -

2011 5.0 head gaskets
I threw a reman engine in and got about 50k miles out of it. Now I’m having a junkyard 5.0 rebuilt by Euro Amp and I’ll toss it in there along with their metal cooling system parts. If this fails I’m buying a D110 and turning the LR4 into a sight target at the ranch. -

My original expansion tank developed a leak so I picked up a replacement off Rock Auto that included a cap. Odd that the cap is rated 110kpa instead of 200 like the original. Should I swap caps? -

My LR4 has lit up like a Christmas tree 3-4 times randomly. Invest in a gap tool. It’s always resolved the issue. -

I’m giving those a shot as I don’t believe the cat is faulty. I’ll replace it next month if need be. I know I’ve got an exhaust leak on that side. Bank 2. -

2012 LR4 190k miles, 40k on reman engine. Recently developed P0430 code. Ran 2 cans of Cataclean and still comes back after I clear it with my GAP. What diagnostics can I do (GAP Gen 1 no BT) to figure out if I need a new cat? -
