The idea is to catch an overheating situation before the factory gauge even indicates a problem. Since the "everything is ok" range on the factory gauge is too broad, the actual coolant temp is great to have. That being said, I can't imagine it will help much in the event of sudden total...- Androomantoo

Resurrecting an old thread but I just added an Ultragauge to my new-to-me LR4. Glad I found this thread. The accurate coolant temp + alarm (set for 210F at the moment) is some nice peace of mind. I went with the EM Plus V1.4. I used the combo horizontal/vertical mount in horizontal mode...- Androomantoo

Finally pulled the trigger on an LR4
Thanks! I wasn't 100% on the color but really my only stipulation was I didn't want black. I've had enough black cars and while they're stunning when clean, I don't like the upkeep. Ipanema Sand has really grown on me over the last few days. Pictures really don't do it justice.- Androomantoo

Finally pulled the trigger on an LR4
Hello all! Longtime lurker, first time posting. After beginning my research way back in the Summer of 2021 I finally pulled the trigger on a very clean Ipanema Sand 2012 LR4 with 112K miles this past weekend.
