Oil Temp Question
FWIW: Red oil light is oil pressure, not oil temp. And Fram filters are cheap, with cheap paint. Is it hot where you are? :biggrin: -

Interesting problem...
This is sudden in onset, but continues to worsen and does not end until the truck is shut off. It starts with what feels like a one-cylinder misfire, and worsens until it feels like the whole engine is going to vibrate right out of its mounts. I don't think it's the TPS, because it doesn't... -

Probably true Not as much smaller as you think. Rover's interior is taller than a Tahoe, so I'd bet the cubic inches are close, but you'll miss the length the first time you drive with an 8' 4x6 board over your shoulder. Lots of people prefer the Disco to the Element, I mean the LR3 :biggrin...- Moose

Replacing plugs and wires?
Drew, get Magnecors...do a search and see Joey's info for some good places to get them. Do the Seafoam before changing the plugs and wires...and all you have to take off is the intake hoses between the air box and the plenum (but only to make it easier to get to the driver's side plugs). -

Alarm Triggers for No Reason
The motion sensors inside the truck were in there through (IIRC) 1995. Apparently too many kids and dogs were setting the alarm off! :biggrin: -

I agree -- I'd bet it was diff lock and/or a front CV before a T/C. CV's aren't anywhere near as expensive as T/C and can be replaced by a shadetree mechanic.... -

Disappearing Coolant
Plastic reservoir leaks on a lot of D1's -- it might be a recall. Seems like the black ones are the bad ones, and they replace them with something else. -

Isn't the default in the UK to have the hibeams on, and you actually "dip" the beams for oncoming traffic? Maybe that's why. You know, on a Rover it's not a bug, it's a "feature." :biggrin: -

Year/make/mileage? Hmmm....let's start simple. Did you clear the code and see if it reappeared after driving for a while with the new plugs and wires? Faulty injector? -
