95 Country Classic interior water leak..any ideas?
Nothing about the leaks, but I have to mention that an RRC owning friend of mine insists that I point out every time someone calls them a "Country." It's "County." No big deal, and my bet is on the A/C drain vents.- Moose

(1) Glad to hear you're going to be OK -- what a horrible thing! (2) Compared to the physical therapy and other struggles you'll have, the heater hoses and heater core are nothing. They are pretty easy swaps. Was any other damage done to the truck beyond cosmetic?- Moose

When you say the lock's not working, do you mean: (1) The lock actuator doesn't "fire," and the lock tab on the door doesn't move, or (2) The lock tab moves, but the door still doesn't lock? -

Stumbling at idle sounds like the IAC a/k/a "Stepper Motor." Do a search for those terms on here and you'll find some help. Andy -
Won't accept fuel from station pump
Try holding it at a different angle. Sometimes, depending on the gas station, I have a hard time getting the pump to not shut off while pumping. Hold the pump up at a more vertical angle, that seems to work well. -
Newbie question - Links to best tires for purchase?
I agree -- the Geolandars are great A/T tires. I "upgraded" to 235/85 GY MT/Rs, and sometimes wish I still had the Yokos. Maybe my next tires will be MT Geolandars... -
Will not start !
Inertia switch will cut off fuel pump, maybe it needs to be reset/replaced. Look on the passenger (US) firewall, there's a plunger-looking switch with a rubber top. Push down on it, if it clicks you've reset it. Any other ideas, folks? -
Service engine light after seafoam
Autozone can reset it for you, and the light should not come back on unless you uncovered a problem. Before Autozone or whoever resets the code(s), write them down and post them and we can help with explanation and diagnosis. Andy -

Marc, VSS is the Vehicle Speed Sensor. There are a bunch of threads on here about them. It's a REALLY easy fix. -

Will she run without a MAF?
Could be a completely fried VSS too. I know someone in Illinois who couldn't do over 25mph. It's usually 60mph, but anecdotally it's possible for other speeds to be the limit. -
Tire sizes
I am 99% sure that a 96 RR has the same bolt pattern as my 96 Discovery. That means that, unless you are buying 22's from a mid-80's Camaro, there is very little to pick from for wheels beyond Rover wheels. Why would you want Lincoln wheels on a Rangie, anyway? :biggrin: -
R134a A/C Recharge
I saw on another site that Joey has done this, but I'm wondering if anyone has a particular experience with recharging their air conditioning with one of those refill bottles. Do you refill at the upper or lower port? Is one can of that R143a really enough to recharge a system? Andy -

Depends. Disco II's are mid-1999 to 2004. Disco SE's are the "upgraded" version of the base (SD) Discovery, and had leather seats and moonroofs, at least in Disco I's (1994-1999 in North America). SE is a trim level; I or II is a model version. EDIT: Just noticed you said "around 2000." I... -

I concur. There's either a blockage in the engine, or your radiator is shot. Could be both. -
Oil Still Leaking
Which means, for most of us, 12-14 hours, not including the trip to the emergency room to reattach a finger, and the multiple calls to buddies to come back and help get the transmission/TC out of there, and multiple trips to Home Depot to buy enough cinder blocks to lift the truck up high enough...- Moose
