    Johnson Rods

That's the perfect scenario for the adjustable set. We can dial in a moderate 1-1/4" or so and you'll be a happy Rover! Just shoot me a pm on one of the numerous forums we frequent.

Hey David! I don't blame you for spending time away from the Bay Area! Utah is much more interesting than Hollister . Just let me know when you want to make a move - I'll hook up the deep club discount!

    Johnson Rods

Although I have never heard of a single situation of a voided warranty, it is up to the discretion of the Service Manager to make that call. For the first couple of years of ownership, I would simply swap out my rods for the OEM rods for any warranty work or service - just to be safe. I can add...

The benefits are only gained when you install larger tires for increased ground clearance.

Engine Tune Up / Fuel Cleaner

You are correct. I just disconnect the intake hose and push it aside to access the TB.

Engine Tune Up / Fuel Cleaner

    1. Clean the throttle body only with CRC TB Cleaner. DO NOT get the MAF wet with the TB cleaner. Use a small cloth and long q-tips. Don't blast directly into the TB. 2. Pick up a can of BG44K injector cleaner. You can find it all over EBAY. The better deals are on 4 or 10 can pkgs. Split it up...

    K&N Airfilters

There's a ton of misinformation out there about these filters. I've used them in the past with great results. I always coupled the k&n with performance exhaust, chip and complete system tuning. They work in the broad sense of increasing hp. You will more than likely have no appreciable gain in...

    Sway bar disconnects

Have at it. I sure won't. With an IFS, the swaybar has a minimal effect on articulation. IF we were talking a solid axle - different story. Let's not kid ourselves...any form of rod-mod or computer manipulation of the height sensor FORCES more pressure into the canister resulting in MORE...

    LR3 Skid Plates Design/Sizes etc.

    LR3 Skid Plates Design/Sizes etc.

I helped install a friends Devon4x4 skid this weekend on his LR4. Unless it's perfectly lined up with the attachment holes, you're going to killing yourself trying to get things to line up. You would be better off tracing an existing design, then mocking up a jig to get all the bends correct...

    Making the LR3 trail ready

Roveribis did run the 33's - Nitto Mud Grapplers if I'm not mistaken. A 285/65/18 calculates out to 32.6". This is a known size that is acceptable. As unlikely as it seems, stepping up to a true 33" tire just causes too many issues (mostly width). Let's just call it a 3/4" height difference...

    Making the LR3 trail ready

A machinist does not equal an engineer. An aluminum puck, when used as a air spring spacer (or any type of spring or shock) is not a static component once installed. Specific geometry and significant forces are applied to the system. Detailed engineering, testing and R&D is critical to safe...

Does this sound right to you?

I'm at 65k on my '06 LR3. I've only had to service the front brake pads once and the rears are still stock. I've adjusted the EPB's recently. That's it. I drive like an old lady and use command shift 100% of the time. The engine compression braking has no doubt added to the life of the pads...

    12V portable air compressor

I have used the same MV50 for 3 years now. At the cost of a Viair, a can burn through 6 MV50's before equaling the cost of 1 Viair - highly unlikely. The MV50 is only marginally slower than any Viair. The difference between 20 and 25 minutes airing up is virtually irrelevant to me. I did add...

    Major bonehead move

There are locating holes for the jack to align with for jacking points. I highly recommend a nice glass of ______, a cigar and a peaceful afternoon to read the owners manual. There is a ton of good information within it regarding nearly every aspect of LR ownership.

    Fog Lamps

I hooked my Hella 4k's into the same switch. You just have to fish the lead into the cabin via the main harness grommet near the brake pedal in the firewall. I tapped into the switched pin location. Plenty of ground locations in the engine bay. I mounted the relay in the spare battery...
