transmission problems on our 2010 LR4

Sounds like a software issue or shift linkage that is sticking. Both are easy repairs and should be handled by the dealer under warranty.

I bet that $100 quote is NOT synthetic.

    7,000 Mile Oil Change?

A DIY synthetic oil change will cost you about 75 bucks. Easy job and you know it's done correctly. I just dropped in Royal Purple.

    Hollister Off Road Park?

The NCLR (Northern California Land Rover Club) holds it MORG (Monthly Off Road Gathering) at Hollister on the 1st Saturday of every month - http://nclrclub.org/forum/showthread.php?1647-MORG-this-weekend! I'm on the BOD of the club but will not be going this month due to a club run the...

Largest tire size that will fit in Factory Spare Tire location

A 32.7" tire will fit. Lower the psi to 10 or so. You also have to remove the exhaust fairing (fiberglass looking fins) for the added size.

    I've Got a Treat for You Off-Roaders!

I thought Derek went out of business a while ago??? Whatever. If you're going to put lipstick on a pig, the least you can do is match the tube arc to the body a little better. Looks like a $1200.00 ladder to me.... lol

    Front End - Tire/Suspension

Check front end bushings. There's a million threads related to this. Also, the Anti Roll Bar (ARB) bushings may be shot. One or the other. Most likely a combo of the two if you've never had them serviced before.

    Loud Fan and Reduced Throttle

Your LR was designed to run on 91 octane fuel. Stop running the cheap stuff. You're only saving 4 bucks per fill up. Buy one less Starbucks during the week and you can have the proper fuel in the tank. Carbon build-up, fouled MAF's and throttle bodies will suffer - not to mention your engine has...

    The dreaded "Bump Stops"

Trust me...there is definitely a lower height than Access Mode! Red Fault Failure number 1 happened when I was snow wheeling. I think it was a build-up of ice between the A-arms than caused the fault. It was packed solid, so when the vehicle sensed the inability to change height, it freaked out...

HELP Stranded in Bozeman, Montana 10/30

Without more information, I'd guess wheel bearing or front CV. I can't seem to find any LR specific listings in Bozeman. Sorry. You may want to reach out to one of the local 4x4 clubs and see if there is a reputable local general repair shop - http://www.m4x4a.org/

    Head Lamp Assembly Lr3 05 V8

You've more than likely improperly re-installed the rear cover when you replaced the bulb a year ago. Take the entire assembly out and try to dry out the moisture. Double check the cover O-Ring and make sure you didn't pinch or damage the ring. Since you've already replaced the bulb, you know...

    NITTO Terra Grappler 265/70/R18?????

Shouldn't be a problem. A "skinny" 32" tire MAY not rub the frame in the fronts. You might have to pound down the seam in the rear wheel wells. Plenty of info out there about required mods when stepping up to 32" tires.

    Off-roading wound

To my knowledge, the RS sliders require you to remove the lower compressor cover. The two halves of the suspension covers both have a degree of noise suppression. With the lower cover off, you will hear the compressor kicking on and off more than you do now. Combine that with the sound bouncing...

    Off-roading wound

 welcome to the off road world! My tank guard looks like oatmeal. Don't sweat it. It's there for protection. The actual tank is plastic/phenolic/ABS...whatever. Not steel. Unless your fuel level sender is reading incorrectly from the damage, I wouldn't worry about it. You could always...

    Johnson Rod lift problems

Of course it can. You are now requesting an increase in volume and psi to the airbags from the computer which controls the compressor.

    Driving lights install

If you're talking about the LR Driving lights, you'll be disappointed in the final product. The lighting is weak and the brackets are cheesy. For the combined 1k+ investment, you can buy top of the line product from nearly any manufacturer. Save your money for proper lighting. The LR's are...

    Normal Height

The dealer may be the only place to to pick up the switch from. Call multiple Dealers and have them quote you a price since you already have the required part number. You'll be surprised how much the price varies from Dealer to Dealer. 10-15 minutes for them means 2-3hrs for us. The console...

    LR4 on 18 inch rims

A buddy of mine picked up a set and they had to use plenty of the stick on weights to get them to balance. They were stacked 3 deep on one rim. There's plenty of room to shift the weights inward to avoid caliper contact. TBH - I don't think there's even enough room for 1 layer of weights between...

    New guy from Syracuse, NY

Welcome aboard! Just take the Compo's to a Tire shop. Make sure they really spend some time balancing the set-up. Keep an eye out for large amounts of the stick-on weights and be sure they do not rub against the caliper - it's really close as far as clearance goes. Great looking rim! It's a...

    Normal Height

You may luck out and only have a bad console switch. These tend to go out because everyone spills coffee and other drinks around this area. If not, follow the usual trail of faulty compressor threads or air valve block threads. Give it a day or so and I'm sure bbyer will chime in with an array...
