    Rubber stops spare wheel undercarriage

Pretty sure there's a nut on the topside of the bump-stop. Use a box end wrench on top then grab a large pair of channel locks to back the bump-stop out.

This forum is dying a slow painful death!

Cheers nerve64! Even if it's just fire roads, I still get stoked to be away from the City. It just kills me to see such a capable vehicle being used as a Honda Element. I'm coming from a history of Jeeps and fullsized with Dana 60's and lockers. These are amazing vehicles and I just get...

This forum is dying a slow painful death!

If people would actually go out on adventures, explore some new terrain, push their vehicles and themselves beyond what is comfortable, get well off the beaten path and actually post up some trip reports, things may just perk up again?? It's the same old "which tire is best?", "I have a...

    Disco Vs. LR3

Really weird thread?? I'm not here to insult anyone so I'll disregard my rebuttal's to a few blatant statements about the LR3. I wheel my LR3 HARD. Deer Valley, SlickRock...every known and unknown trail in this class can easily be tackled by an LR3 and a competent driver. My paint is well past...

The obligatory "Show off your LR3' thread

 This thread is full of "in between the lines" reading at the moment. Mr. fab guy, just say who you are, where you're from, who designs your stuff and where (not a website) we can purchase from. Not "Eff you Nathan." or "Pfffttt. You don't even own a Rover anymore." We all know each...

    Roof moounted light wiring routes

I've seen plenty off people run the wiring through the rack and out the rear, then poke the wiring through the rear hatch seal near the top. A quick dab of caulk and the water situation is addressed.

New 2008 LR3 SE Owner & New to Forum

Welcome aboard! Keep checking the forum boards for people looking to buy/sell the 19's for 18's. Most people here want the 18's for more tire choices than the 19" version. 19's are fine for a dedicated street machine. I can almost guarantee someone will be more than happy to trade your 18's for...

    Hood shakes while on highway

Graphite is best. Did you get a "Bonnet Open" warning? Bang it shut. Dropping it delicately down then pushing further down until it "clicks" doesn't always work. Treat it like your Boss. SMACK IT!

    Which Yellow Optima Battery...

Optimal situation is identical batteries of equal amperage, CCA's and draw characteristics. Also, age of batteries should be the same. Many people have used the Oddyssey or Sears batts with good results. For whatever reason, most steer away from the Optima. Coupled with the Dual Kit, you're...

    LR4 on 18 inch rims

Looks awesome! How close is the fit between the calipers (Front) and the rim? Also, were you able to balance the rim/tire with stick on weights? SWEET!

Disco colapsed over rear wheel well

????????????? WTF I re-read Mike's reply a couple of times just to be sure. Yes...there have been times that Mike's replies have been pointed, sharp and short. This does not qualify. There is nowhere near enough info provided by the OP to base any kind of remedy. Party foul. Mike -...

    Tha REAL answer!

Let's not kid ourselves. "If" the US were allowed to "Drill Baby drill", the cost of exploration, mobilization and logistics would not decrease the cost of a gallon for a very long time. In fact, there would almost certainly be an increase in pricing which would be sold to us, the American...
