How did you test it? Your local autoparts store won't be able to properly test a failing battery (at least this nutty LR type). You'll need to know exact amperage and load values. Just sayin...- blackforestham

Which Winch???
I'm running the ARB with the Superwinch EP9.0. I'm very happy with both. NOW is the time to add the winch. You cannot add it without taking the whole bumper back off. Just got one
A running board is basically just a step to enter or exit the vehicle. They are usually hollow and simply bolt on to the existing body sill in some fashion. Oversized Spare Tire mod
The DT's are designed for snow and ice. This is where they separate themselves from the pack. Liberal siping and relatively soft sidewalls allow you to air down and take advantage of the rubber compound. Great snow/ice tire.- blackforestham

I haven't seen any long range issues by removing the shield. Unless the tire is physically touching the pipe (which it doesn't), I see no downside. I would bet the tires touching the road have a significantly higher surface temperature.- blackforestham

How to "de-funk" damp carpets?
Step it up to an Industrial cleaner - http://www.abatix.com/default.aspx?page=item+detail&itemcode=UNS221522000 I've used similar cleaners for a moldy trunk in a previous car. Dilute per instructions and apply with a spray bottle. Finish off with a wet carpet cleaning vacuum and you're done.- blackforestham

You either have the HD w/ rear locker or you don't. They are not available as a realistic upgrade once it has left the factory. You will find part numbers available but to my knowledge, no one has ever been stubborn enough or rich enough to pull it off.- blackforestham

Steel wheels just aren't available with the proper load rating for the LR3. Just stick to the factory 18" rims - many have powder coated them black. Tires are a pretty subjective topic. Sounds like the Transmission needs the software update performed by the Dealer. If you are getting a loud clunk or bang after accelerating from a stop sign, then this may be the case. If you come to a COMPLETE stop, then you may or may not experience the bang. Most people pull a "Hollywood stop"...- blackforestham

Steering play?
A distinct click/clunk/wiggle/shimmy felt through the steering wheel when you start to feel the steering come back. Check your steering fluid for shits and giggles. If it's due for a flush, handle it. I think you're fine though by your description.- blackforestham

Sounds like a clear case of "the such and such" to me! Possibly a loose Felcher Valve?? :aetsch: Just kidding Houm! Unless it's clunking or you can feel an "engage/disengage" through the wheel, I wouldn't sweat it. Larger tires seem to magnify this tiny vague window. Just keep an eye on it.- blackforestham
