Can I leave my iPod plugged in (to the land rover cable in the console), or do I need to unplug it whenever I am not driving? Picked up a cable for $65 bucks online (plus $11 for shipping) from Land Rover Rocklin. Thanks- eaglerover

Dumbells under the rear of the '11 LR4
I was under the rear of the truck yesterday installing a hitch and noticed what looked like two 25 lb dumbells located above the frame of the bumper on both sides. Does anyone know what purpose these serve? Seems like a lot of extra weight and not sure what they are there for.- eaglerover
