If it snapped, it wouldn't open at all.

1,000 mile review / Nitto Terra Grappler

I've had mine for going on 30k, I love them! I'll probably get another 10k from them...which is plenty long. I've got them on my Jeep too.

Tips for dealing with LR3 windshield wipers that don't swing out

    My 07 ones don't swing out. It's a PITA.

    Anti-Freeze

What year Denali? Almost bought an 07 demo one that was AWD, but wanted something with low range.

    When to change the oil?

I go 5000 on regular Castrol oil. Seems to work fine.

    Pads or Pads/Rotors?

You can do just pads if the rotor is still smooth. But on mine I've always replaced rotors and pads...since by the time it squeaks, it vibrates a bit too. I use this kit, I've probably got 30-40k on it now and they seem just fine. Front: http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/8852K.cfm Rear...

Do I change the tranny filter at 150K or let it ride?

I haven't heard that a filter change is that involved on these. Are you sure?

    New noise

Turns out the Atlantic British shaft isn't grease able. No biggie, the driveshaft is the OE one and it went it without a hitch. Noise is gone!!!

    Steering Wheel Buttons Acting Strange...

Mine does that once in a blue moon. It corrects itself after a few presses though.

I'd go try another one just to see.

Clueless Girl Needs Help from Landy Man (hvac and software)

Yeah, you just assume it's on. Find some sand or snow and gun it, the light should flash. What vehicle are you coming from? Mine drives really straight and easy, but I haven't owned a "car" since 2007. So I just might be used to it.

Clueless Girl Needs Help from Landy Man (hvac and software)

It's on unless you turn it off. How's the alignment? It shouldn't be acting like puppy...it should track straight.

Clueless Girl Needs Help from Landy Man (hvac and software)

Not sure about the HVAC. But regarding the tranny, that's BS. I'd get the leak fixed. The throttle delay is normal to an extent...that's the nature of any drive by wire vehicle it seems. It annoys me a bit after driving my Jeep, but once you get used to it it's ok. There was a thread on here a...

    New noise

Whole shaft, the CV joint can't be found. I guess one could get creative and ghetto rig it with a U joint, but since it's a DD, it's easier just to get the whole shaft anyway.

    New noise

Took it in today...CV on the driveshaft is bad. Ordered a new one from Atlantic British, it has greaseable joints, which is a plus to me. http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/TVB500510.cfm I know a driveshaft is pretty easy to do DIY, but the guy at the shop is super nice, lets me bring in parts...

    New noise

Nearest dealer is 2+ hours away, but there's a shop here that specializes in Euro vehicles so I'm going to try to get it in there by Monday. I was wondering if maybe something got lodged in a tire...like a huge bolt. But the acceleration throws me off.

    New noise

Just this morning the LR3 started making an odd noise. It's drivetrain related. Whenever you accelerate, it makes a popping/racheting noise. Turning doesn't effect it, and the driveability is normal. Can't feel any vibrations. I checked the front CV joints real quick and I didn't see any...

    Cold temperature operation

Sounds like a neat trip! Mine doesn't seem like it notices the cold...only thing is when we have our temp fluctuations (say 38 one day then down to -5 for a few days) the TPMS light comes on. Once the temp stabilizes it's ok.

LR3 transfer case : where is the breather located?

A breather will look like a mini open element air filter on a tube. I bet it's up pretty high to reduce the risk of water getting in. I might have the FSM, I'll see if it's in there.

    Parking Sensor Flashing

Not sure about the parking sensors. But the alarm thing is hood sensor related...take the grill/passenger side headlight out, find the hood sensor (it's at the top) and disconnect it, put a piece of aluminum foil in and plug it back in. That disables it. There's a few threads here on that with pics.
