Maybe because your wife's iPhone was the first device paired with your vehicle -- the LR3 is searching for your wife's by default, not yours. Try deleting both Bluetooth profiles then re-pairing them, but pair your's first. -

Little feelings about the LR4.....
It actually does have Bluetooth audio. The output works for apps like Mog, Pandora, the default music app, etc. Just doesn't work with Google Maps/Navigation. I think it must just be a quirk with the phone -- there aren't any settings within the Google Nav app that address audio. -

Reversing Camera Tram Line Overlay

Bluetooth Loud Outside Vehicle
I noticed this with my '08 LR3 -- I rarely used the Bluetooth, though, because it was so terrible. Same thing happens with my wife's Infiniti. Whenever she pulls into the garage while using Bluetooth, I can hear her from the living room. -

Rob, Thanks for the perspective. I did ask him if this was a local policy or a LRNA one. If it was a local policy, kind of a code of ethics, then I kind of admire it. He didn't specify one way or the other.
