I think what is really going on here is that the 5.0's times where well underrated to begin with and the times for this 3.0 are more real world. I would be willing to bet that the 5.0 in real life will be significantly faster. Far more so than it would appear on paper. Perhaps LR knew this all... -

Multiple people here have stated that there will be no weight loss for the new lr4. Everything I have read so far contradicts that. It will be getting a new aluminium frame which is both stiffer and lighter. The RR is at least 300 pounds lighter due to this. I don't see why the lr4 won't lose... -

lr4 low access mode
No problem. Also, when you hit the button it starts a one minute timer. If you don't slow down to below at least 12mph within that minute it cancels your request to lower. If a door opens while it's still lowering it will stop but close the door within 40sec and it will continue. -

Just hit the button. You don't have to wait until you are stopped. It will start lowering when speed drops below 12mph and finish when it drops below 5mph. Yeh, it's not as convenient as auto lowering but it works. Blame it on the lawyers, they wouldn't allow it any other way. -

Honestly, as in for real not just saying "yeh that would be cool". I mean, if Land Rover really offered the 510hp V8 that come in the RR as an option in the LR4, how many of you guys would get it? Lets assume the upgrade price is around 10k. So, would you check that box? I'll go first... -

Sorry to say it but the factory gps sucks. There are no ways around it. I travel pretty extensively and can say very conclusively that a smartphone with google maps is far better than what the truck can do. $60k or not, that's just the hard truth. The 2012 doesn't actually work better it just... -

Surprised by poor snow performance
I too believe it has the most to do with the stock tires. They do great in slush and pretty bad on ice and in really deep snow. I've never gotten stuck nor feared doing so but they are less than confidence inspiring in corners. Hopefully by the time these need to be replaced, there will be a few... -

DO NOT use detergent or regular soap! Neither of those things have any place being used on a car either inside or out. They both will dry out your leather.
