    Aintree Green

The majority of complaints about light color interior come from not using the correct product and in many case, no product at all. I've had light interiors in several vehicles and never have problems with staining, marks, or cracking. It's all about taking a little time to protect your surfaces.

    Xeon for the LR4

I'd love to see a comparison between the two. I love my CV's but could move them to the fog lights if the HID's are truly leaps better. Does it come with two sided tape? How strong does it seem? It get's below zero up here and most adhesives don't like that very much.

    2012 LR4 decontenting?

Unless there is something seriously wrong with yours, 3-5 seconds is way off. Mine takes nowhere near that long. I do wish that the I Pod interface was faster though. It seems to be the thing that takes the longest. A scrollable screen like a smart phone would be perfect.

    2012 LR4 at Cost—anyone get a deal on their 2012?

How was your LR4 loaded out? What options? Cold climate, stereo etc.

Dealers who can sell / ship Castrol SLX 5w-20

From the research I've done, there are better oils out there. I have no doubt that the Castrol "special" oil thing is just a marketing gimic and part of a deal that was struck between LR and Castrol. Happens all the time actually. As advanced as it is, it's just an engine made of metal and it's...

Do all the 2K12 LR4s have nav in motion?

Exactly. Hence the " ". It really disappoints me.

Do all the 2K12 LR4s have nav in motion?

Smart of them. It's about time! It's embarrassing when passengers can pull up directions faster than my "high tech" brand new ride can.

Do all the 2K12 LR4s have nav in motion?

I've always wondered why car companies don't just stop messing around trying to design their own systems and just let google maps or an app like yours do it for them. It's telling when we'd rather just use our phones to get around. Car companies need to take notice.

    Early Christmas

This is what I like to hear. We haven't gotten any snow yet which is crazy but when it does start to fall, I want to have confidence in my tires.

    Cold weather start

Wow, those Furys where really monsters! Cool car, any pictures? That sound of the engine "sitting down" is when it transitions from cold start high idle back down to normal idle speed. High idle is typically used for emissions purposes such as helping "light" the catalytic converters faster...

    Alignment issue & tire wear

Snow traction is a MUST up here where mother nature insists on setting snowfall records every year! I'll see what happens when we get our first big one and if it's awful, I'll have no choice but to replace them with something better right away and sell the stockers. Safety, confidence and...

    Alignment issue & tire wear

That's good to hear crewcabrob. I hope the rest of us have the same experience. I'm already looking into what tires I'll replace these with. The only thing I know for sure is that it won't be any continental tire.

    Cold weather start

Thank you lexman, but I'm going to have to disagree with you on a few things. It only takes a few seconds to stabilize oil pressure and as soon as that happens you are good to move. 60 secs is far too long to wait and offers no advantage. Start it and by the time you've check to make sure you...

Passive Entry Question - New to LR

I don't have kids but I agree. When I'm unloading things from the back seat I am often on the passenger side. It would be a pain to have to go all the way around just to lock it.

    Cold weather start

Not needed. The days of warming up a car a long gone yet the practice continues to cling to life much like the 3000mile oil change. Modern engines don't need either. The oil companies and service centers will never tell you that though. Guess why? The only thing warming your truck is doing is...

    LR4 HSE - Keyless Entry

Congrats on your new truck! You are having that problem because for 2011 only the LUX comes with passive entry which allows you to just keep the key fob in your pocket. Keyless entry just means that you don't have to use an actual key, you can just press the unlock button on your fob. Keyless...

    Alignment issue & tire wear

That type of wear and the vibration you felt is exactly what a bad alignment will do. It's nice they took car of it for free. It's normally well over a hundred to get that done. I haven't had any of those issues but then again I don't even have 800miles on mine yet haha. Still rotate them...

Fresh off the boat - Getting tired of rentals

Thanks for the update! Good to hear you are loving it. They truly are easy to love and what a pleasure to drive. I have some sports cars and motorcycles and I always find myself looking back at them as I walk away after parking. My LR4 is the FIRST suv of many that I've owned that I've ever...

2012 Ipanema Sand w/ gloss black wheels

"It is safe on vinyl, rubber, plastic, acrylic, finished leather, and fiberglass." Says it a few times on that site and even says it on the front of the bottle. I've used it on all of my cars and motorcycles and it truly works great. Try it out! BTW, if you didn't already know, the seats in our...

2012 Ipanema Sand w/ gloss black wheels

Order this and thank me later lol http://www.autogeek.net/16oz.html I feel ya on the traction issue. It's about time for me to put my vette away for the winter. Drove it today and while fun for a bit, it sure is squirrely in this cold weather. It's about the only time I ever wish for more...

    Rotate Tires

The 4wd won't make up for the uneven wear the tires will experience from front to back. The loads put on each are very different front to back as well as side to side. The front tires take the brunt of the braking load and turning loads. The rears definitely have it easier. Rotating tires on a...

Great looking truck! Any plans to mod that CTS-V? If it didn't snow so much up here I wouldn't mind having a coupe.
