You just answered your question. Only exception - if I did not test drive LR4, I would say GL450. :) Get all the options, including HD (heavy duty) package. If you go for LUX it wont make much of a difference... You won't regret it. -

Last time I did a patch was like 30 years ago on my bicycle... And what was patched is the tube. I actually not sure if you can just patch the tire, it has to be done special way, don’t remember the word,.. And not sure it is available at just gas station etc. Plug is standard way to fix nail... -

Sorry to see that, but I just had one 2 days ago. :) I have 18K on it, I think it will be good for another 3-5K at least... Anyhow, I just took the wheel off and patched it with a standard patching rubber plug from advanced auto parts... I've had it done before - works like a charm... The only... -

Funny... I also have Triumph Explorer bike made in UK - it also has measurement issues - when I fill it up with gas it shows half tank for a while, then goes to full tank after a few miles... They need to change the supplier! :) -

I had the same issue, had to wait half an hour or so, and it eventually did it... -
Brake Metrics...
My brakes were checked at 18K, were in "Green" zone, more them 6mm left... don't know exactly how much. But front pads were replaced per LTB00472NAS1 - i complained about the noise. -
Water Pump
Ok, they did pressure test, did not find the leak; per LTB00352NAS4 they checked the pump, did not find the leak, and bearing was ok. At second pressure test they confirmed the leak from the line I pointed them to, and replaced it (i could see that - new line and lose wire clamp. :) ). -

Did not check it yet, forgot, but will today... It actually makes sense - if i am not mistaking, this days the thermostat is a part of the pomp (?) and that is probably what goes bad there. Thermostat does not open, pressure goes up, and antifreeze sprinkles out through the clamp, or worse case... -

Hm... I had a very slow coolant leak, i got the warning at about 10K - there was a hose at the rear of the engine on passenger side that as I thought would go to the heater or something… And looking at the way it leaks it would leak only under very high pressure from the clamp area. I left it... -
Brake Pads replacement at 10K miles
I would get very suspicious with 12K brake replacement… I had 18K on mine when front pads were replaced, and those were not gone yet, just started making very light noise while braking sometimes… And I drive my cars hard. -

Try regular, may be it will fit better... lol :) I had the same suspicion until ones I stayed on completely (per indicator) empty tank for much longer then I should. I got to GS and was able to fit 21G that time. I think, since the mileage per gallon in not the greatest here, ~13mpg, LR just... -

I compared these 2 from tire rack: Michelin Latitude X-Ice Xi2 Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza I think Michelin is the way to go – it has better wet/snow/ice ratings, even if dry conditions have worse raitings. Another day I had to brake hard in the rain at ~50 mph speed – I don’t want... -

If you buy any parts from Rosenthal Land Rover of Tysons Corner in Virginia, make sure you check prices with any other dealer! They tried, and actually did sale the Oil Filter to me for $50. I am glad I read this forum ,so I knew that price should be around $29. I called another dealer... -

25000 miles, $950 front brakes?
Rotors should be ok at 25K, but you won’t know for sure until you measure it. Just ask dealer to measure it and compare it to the min by specs…
