Questionnaire and my LR4 Gas Mileage Theory
Have side steps and mud flaps and my avg is 17 mpg if I'm lucky. My driving is not aggressive by any stretch of the imagination. -

Help a newbie...
I have the hooks installed for the front mats only. I find it is much easier to remove the mats when your cleaning without the hooks. Without the hooks the mats don't move at all. I did front bc it is a safety issue. I don't want the mat to shift and get stuck under the accelerator or break. -

Tow Assist Problems
I had the same issue with the sticker. You have to place it on the front of the trailer, closer to the camera. I was placing it in the back and the camera couldn't recognize it. If you place it more forward, The box on the screen should turn green. As for the width of the trailer, try to get... -

Running boards / side steps
Nice, I think the side steps give the LR4 a better look and they are useful for shorter people to get in/out of the vehicle. I know my wife loves them and refused to get the LR4 without them installed. I like the look a lot, but I usually step around them to get in and out. -

LR4 First Driving Impressions
22-23 mpg avg is AMAZING!!! I'm getting about 16 mpgs and Im not an aggressive driver by any stretch of the imagination. I don't have any heavy accessories either. I agree with everything else you mentioned. -

Trailer stability assist does need to be programmed by dealer. The vehicle. Weds to be programmed to recognize that a trailer has been attached. Had it done on both my 2010 and 2011 LR4s. -

Got it. Due to the cost of diesel fuel however, economically is there much difference running a diesel engine versus a gas engine? And aren't gas engines "cleaner" environmentally speaking in terms of emmistions even though the new diesel engines have come a long long way? I almost pulled... -

Hi David, I think they would look great esp with the accent lights, but they are useless in terms of useable light output. I have been thinking about doing this but no sure I want to loose the functionality of the fog lights. Geirge -

2010 LR4 LED Headlight "rings"?
If you really want the LED accent lights, you can buy the 2011 or 2012 light assembly and have the dealer program the LEDs for you. Waste of money IMO. The Accent LEDs are dull. They definitely can make them much brighter. -

Mud flaps!!!!!!
sorry I can't help you. The dealer installed mine. Some people mentioned a bracket that is required to install the rear mudflaps. I recall there was a discussion about that a while back. did you do a search? -
