for groceries you'll need something like this instead of a net:

i have 2 of these for the trunk and they are awesome for groceries. you can also fold them up flat when not in use.
He's got 11k on it so i think it's safe to assume it's either a 2010 or 2011. Regardless, I really don't think the trim or year matters here... The car is clearly a lemon.
Either that or the shop he goes to don't know what they are doing.
it's all personal preference. i went with black rails for my black car because it's stealthier. i think the long bars have more slots you can use for the cross bars but it's more about the looks. installation is really easy. i installed the long bars myself in an hour.
i think it was discovered in another thread that the LR4 does not crank out enough power for the hids from cold start. this only happens to me when the temp is sub 40 degrees. other than that it fires up just fine. did you get the 35w kit? or the 55w?
they do, i assure you. i've also used ddm kits on my other cars without issues. but on a cold start for my lr4 when the temp is below 40, the lights do not fire up right.
what's the temperature outside when you fire up the bulbs? try this... turn the light switch to off with the car off. turn on car and drive around for 3 min, turn on lights. do they fire up then?
nice. i recall reading the entire manual but never really had time to try out all these things. just like working the air suspensions with your remote outside the car.
are you talking about the ARB bars?
also, a member here posted about the OEM front protection and its poor quality. there are detailed pix of the hollow interior after it was ripped off somehow. will try to find link.
that's pretty pricey considering it takes an hour, no more than 2, to install the rails.
i also have an extra pair of the long rails for sale cheap if anyone's interested.
sorry to hear about your ordeal. that's pretty scary. glad to hear there were no accidents. I thought about getting the skybox for a while now, but after reading this i am having second thoughts. i guess you could have used some sort of latch to secure the body as a safety measure?
