Dash fade and leather seat treatment

I use Connolly Cleaner and Hide food on the advice from the UK people. I am pleased with it. http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic25302.html

    highway ride - help

If it is not sinking on the soft corner overnight I would not suspect the bag to be bad. There is a shock in there also so if it is bad then I think the entire unit would need replacement. Modified rods can cause a temperary fault in extreme articulation but so can an senor going bad. They...

    Wheels, Rack, HPV questions

You are welcome. Glad we could help. Those angles do get nerve racking. After a couple almost rollovers I became really nervous on small inclines so I put a lev-O-guage in so I know where I am at.

    Tire pressure measuring...

I don't think you can. It just tells you something is low.

Anyone have a good rear tire mount?

I carry 2 spares. One under and one in the cargo area when I go to more remote areas. You can fit the full size under the car. I have BF goodrich 265/65/18 that are 31.7" new and I only had to deflate to about 25 pounds to get it up which is more then enough pressure to get me down the road...

Anyone have a good rear tire mount?

If was going to get one, I think I would find a way to get one of these also. I like the clean look of it.

What Harman Kardon system do I have??

Count the speakers. If you have 2 round speakers in the front doors then it should be the higher end Logic 7. The 300 watt HK only has one round in the door. Also I think the little triangle speakers on the door should say HK Logic 7 on them

    Height Sensor part?

It will work but height will probably be off. Yes you will need to recalibrate a new one to match up with the others correctly. The old one probably not.

    Height Sensor part?

You need to recalibrate a sensor once replaced. Otherwise your ride height will be out of wack.

one side of my LR3 had lowered

If it is this way all the time it probably just needs calibration not replacement.

    Improved MPG

I usually get 18 or better on long freeway runs. About 12-14 in the city. My air filter is changed every 6 months with service.
  12. T

How long do you plan on keeping your LR3?

I usually keep mine about 10 years. I had mine 4 years now. We will see how it goes and if there will be a suitable replacement in the LR future.

    Recurring Fault Problem

I will add that you save the suspension calibration file so I have one for stock and one for offroad, you load it up when you want it. It takes about 2 minutes once you are hooked up which takes less than minute to do not counting computer boot time. I usually do it as I am airing down and...

Software update a must for all !!!

Another plus for the faultmate is that you can check that you have the current software update for your vehicle and update it if not. It is a bit of a process but doable none the less.

    Recurring Fault Problem

Yes, you can recalibrate the suspension on the fly. You have to use a laptop to do so. It also does not allow you to get an out of range suspension fault that can happen with the rod mod when you go into extended modes. You can still go into extended and super extended, the car just will not...

    Recurring Fault Problem

It was around $1328 all said and done with shipping and a CC surcharge. So far it has been a great tool and is worth it for the time I plan to keep this car. Plus you can transfer the single vehicle license to a new LR for small fee in the future.

    Recurring Fault Problem

Cool, glad you got it narrowed down. Have to keep that break switch in mind. Lucky with the faultmate MSV-2 I can recalibrate the steering angle sensor to rule it out in the future.

    Recurring Fault Problem

Yes, but if the batt is going bad it may charge enough to start the car but you may still get faults on the LR3 from what I understand. Worth the check I think.

    Recurring Fault Problem

Sounds like the battery so I would check it first.

    Strange Noises

Nope, I noticed it but the noise didn't really bother me. Took it in for service and the advisor pointed it out and said there was a fix for it. Paperwork just said, customer pointed out CC noise in dash and fixed under warraanty.

    Vibration/ all over

Check for mud stuck on the inside of the wheels. It can be hard to see sometimes and throw off the tire balance.

    Strange Noises

The AC fart does have a fix that the dealer did. Don't know about the other, a squeak could be anything.

    Lost between the seats!!!

Same here, but on this occasion it landed in just the right spot toward the back of the track. When I tried to grab with it slid back into a pocket near the rear seat bolt that could not be reached even with the seats forward.

    Lost between the seats!!!

Been there! My best yet is dropping my key down there and then when trrying to get it it pushed back into a little pocket. I had to unbolt the seat to get it out. :hmpf: Lucky I was in my own garage
