I agree with you on that one. I am also surprised you got that far.

    Stuck in the Mud

Mud and rutts works best for me in the mud. I was out on some slippery muddy trail a few weeks back and had issues with traction in the other settings. A couple times I thought I was stuck and put in mud and rutts and was able to get out.

    hood release cable broken

Also, did you take the bonnet release handle off and the cover to see if the cable is broken close to the handle?

    hood release cable broken

Interesting. The cable must have broken somewhere before the hood latches since it is connected to both of them and I doubt both would fail at the same time. If you look up through the grill on each side you will see the latches. You will be able to see one of the two bolts that hold each...

    Rock Slider Choices

It will depend what type of offroading you do that will really make the difference. Down here in Southern California many of us have the option I so we do not get wedged in between rocks. Up in the NW and other places where they do more around a lot of muddy trails with trees the option II...

    Disco II OEM 18" wheels........

I find both the 10 and 5 spoke wheels on ebay from time to time. Some go to craigs list. The 10 spoke show up more. I have bought several for less then $100 but on average you can get them for around $130. Took a couple months but I eventually got a full set.

Besides the tire size the 19 " rims will be 6 spoke.

Welcome! Are you sure you have 19" rims? The picture under your name looks like the 5 spoke 18" rims. See here for some good tire info and all around LR3 stuff. lots of great photos with LR3's and different option in the gallery. http://blog.nextstepdesigns.com/?p=46#comments

    Locking center diff-Driver info screen

The way I understand it, different settngs will be more sensitive and lock the diffs faster then others. I think rock crawl is the most sensitive to wheel spin.

    LR3 2005 Key from eBay

It also use to be that when you ordered a key fob from bputah it was suppose to take a couple weeks for it to get here from tha factory where it was coded. Since they are reputable seller I would just varify the situation more with them to be sure.

    LR3 2005 Key from eBay

Yes I remember when they use to require that as well. Maybe something has changed. Interesting enough I purchased a BBS diagnostic computer for the LR3 and it has a function to program up to 6 keys but I don't know anything about how that part works yet.

The obligatory "Show off your LR3' thread

I don't think they are. If you look close at some of the photos they don't look like RS especially towards the front. http://www.flickr.com/photos/42981642@N04/4399191809/sizes/l/in/set-72157623411751201/ There was another group that was making some that had similar stand off tubes, these...

    oem fuel fuel tank replacement?

You have to put the skid cover back on first since it holds the tank. Then fill and and if it is not to deformed it will pop back. Then the hi-country plate goes over the stock plate. The factory plate cover is really easy to pound back out if you warm it up a bit.

    oem fuel fuel tank replacement?

There is a metal gravel/skid plate and then the plastic tank undernieth that. You can take the skid plate off when the gas tank is almost empty and pound the dent out. When you put the protective plate back on and fill the tank the plastic tank will reshape if not damage to much.

I will adjust to account for weight. When you get in and out of the car the weight changes.

    Who's running Cooper STT's???

I don't know, I have had Ford, GM, Jeeps older and newer and so far none of them were as dependable as my LR3 has been off-road. I have had friends with older Toyotas and they were always fixing them also. I know you really like jeeps but I have had several, all well maintained and none...

Brooklyn Mine Road, Berdoo Canyon and Old Dale Mining District are good the rest are mostly just wide dirt roads.

    Joshua Tree

There are not any real tough trails. You can head over to Brooklyn mine or do Berdoo Canyon. Out in the BLM mining district on the north side of the park there are more challenging trails.

Just like any challenge, you need to know your vehicle and how to equip and repair it.

    Trailer lights wiring???

That is probably for having the OE land rover trailer harness kit installed. There are cheaper options out there that I have heard of, I think British Atlantic has a non OE harness for cheaper. I would not advise plicing into wires.
