Help me identify this part in the wheel well?

Looks like it to me also, those should be flat, they look like they bolt on so you could take them off and have them pounded back into shape. The part is only $40 on rover parts west. In the body the body hardware - frame section.

Snap Behind Steering Wheel Now Controls Don't Work

The clockspring (aka rotary coupler) probably broke. It is pretty easy to change out. The airbag is easy and uses a kind of hook tool to pull a spring latch on either side of the steering wheel, you will see a little slot, the hook on the tool faces up toward the air bag to grab it...

Anyone know what these wires go to?

It is hard to say, I don't have heated seats either but do have the hi-line stereo and the plugs look the same. However, even if one is the plug for the aux does not mean it is connected to the stereo. I recall a couple of years ago a guy with the low-line unit had to get a wiring kit...

Anyone know what these wires go to?

One is for the aux power outlet, one is for the aux sound input and the other I think was for the headphones or video input options.

Can I Disable Tire Pressure Warning Light Somehow?

Many times it is the valve on the DMTL pump sticking and not closing all the way when it does the pressure test that causes the error.

Can I Disable Tire Pressure Warning Light Somehow?

Tue but since he mentioned the reoccurring gas cap warning followed by engine light means it is most likely the evap system or the cap. He will read the codes and it will say one of 2 things either a massive leak or minor leak in the tank pressure which shows up as gas cap fault. The list...

HDC Fault, Transmission Fault, Special Programs Not Available - My Exprience

I hear what you are saying but to be honest it is a good idea that stmcknig suggested. The shops are only guessing as well and there have been cases where the faults recorded suggested replacing something like the tranny only to have the same fault return after it was replaced to find out the...

Can I Disable Tire Pressure Warning Light Somehow?

I didn't think so bu wasn't sure if it was something on newer models or not. But the check engine light means it is the gas cap open or leaking fault. But usually in my experience and with several friends it was the DMTL pump that caused the fault.

Can I Disable Tire Pressure Warning Light Somehow?

Is it gas door or gas cap warning? I don't have a gas door sensor on my 06 SE so I would have to look at the car config files again to see if it is an option. But it probably functions similar to the hood sensor and can be bypassed if needed.

Can I Disable Tire Pressure Warning Light Somehow?

Yes but it has to be done by a LR shop computer or faultmate. Have to change the car config file to no TPMS fitted.

HELP - Suspension Fault - New Compressor - Sliders?

I don't know what they are rated at, but I walked in with the line in hand asking to order a new one and they said "are you sure, we just use these". The line only pressurizes to about 210 PSI when the system is making adjustments and filling the reservoir then depressurizes.

HELP - Suspension Fault - New Compressor - Sliders?

No, not from any tire rub. It looked like the way it was bundled with the wiring harness. The blow out was right where it was strapped to the frame. A little week spot in the line developed and looked like it may have been bubbling slowly over time and finally gave way. The chaffing may have...

HELP - Suspension Fault - New Compressor - Sliders?

It is a sold black line. You can see it coming out from the valve block that is mounted in front of the rear driver side shock, easier to see with the wheel off. It then bundles up with the wiring harness and follows the frame forward until it branches out to the compressor.

HELP - Suspension Fault - New Compressor - Sliders?

It blew right where the line is bundled with the wiring harness and attached to the frame. Best I could tell there may have been chaffing involved weakening the line in that spot. I rerouted the line so it is easier to get to and not able to rub on anything.

HELP - Suspension Fault - New Compressor - Sliders?

When I blew the airline between the compressor valve block and the rear valve block it registered as a compressor error (compressor could not add ay pressure to the system) it just shut off the the compressor but did not lower the car. Since I was already in offroad height I puled the fuse and...

    Replacement Shocks

The only after market strut replacement I have ever heard of so far is a bilstein used with the factory airbag. The only other is the Arnott, which is a full bag replacement that uses a bilstein strut for the front only.

    Air Strut Question and Comment

My first failure was passenger as well. Regarding grinding I tried that and it was not very effective without ginding out a lot. What worked the best on my new upper arms was to actually hammer the areas that would contact the shock in so it did not flare out. When contact eventually is made...
