Camshaft regulator failure - advise needed
That is my year. I would be asking the shop that did your chain questions and check the warranty because that shouldn't happen. Maybe they overtorqued the mounting bolt and that weakened the camshaft where the bolt goes through the cam-to-actuator mounting point. Thats what the evidence shows...- powershift

Sorry for your loss. When I was shopping around for my chain work I found companies wanting to replace the cam actuators, others don't do it. I had mine replaced and it was another $1k. Conceptually if the actuators locked up and failed at the same time then that would explain the broken...- powershift

Coolant Smell After Driving and Temperature Gauge Reading
That is a bummer to have it fail. I replaced that part on my own since the shop wanted $800 to lift the intake manifold while doing the chain. They didn't replace the top and bottom radiator hoses when they replaced the radiator so I'm not so sure how long those last. They look fine, nothing...- powershift

I'd have the system checked because there are many con men out there. But I too smelt coolant after I did all mine. Smelt it in the Mohave desert heat while off-roading, doing a turn around or whatever. I was confident there were no leaks so I let it go. It took months really, but now I don't...- powershift

Found 13mm nut underneath LR4

Ah, yeah that isn't just a GAP reading. Did the temperature needle move at all? Mine tells me if its cold, that is about all but I'm wondering if it actually moves up from mid-point lol. Battery Age knowledge
900 CCA is nice, mine is only 850 CCA, 140 RC. and 80AH and its a factory replacement. So if you do get a new battery then you could probably upsize to whatever would physically fit in there. I didn't think about that when I bought mine.- powershift

I've also read about aftermarket alternator problems. But aside from that, if I left my rig from Thursday to Sunday while camping I'd expect the battery to be too low (11.x V) to start the engine. The systems use juice. Parking it and leaving it alone from Thursday to Sunday would be different...- powershift

Misfires on one side 3L SCV6 2015
Its plausible that chain slack is causing a problem because the miss-fires could be timing related at the mechanical side with the camshaft(s) instead of fuel delivery and spark delivery. Did you check the chain tension? On my V8 I stuck my finger in the oil fill and could push the chain down...- powershift

No I wouldn't expect magnesium, but it is light and strong and used in the industry. Some C5 corvettes had magnesium rims and there are engine cradles out there made of it. As an aside, I've watched a bumper install vid where they cut that whole cross-member out on each far side and removed it...- powershift

LR4 Floor Sound Deadening and Heat Insulation
Its pretty quiet in my rig, I don't hear much road noise. Slight engine noise and that's it but with those additions I'd expect a lower sound floor on the highway and probably better sounding audio.- powershift

2012 lr4 5.0 misfires and p0003 fuel volume regulator
Maybe its the fuel pump going out. Has it ever been replaced? Mine went at about 80k miles before I bought it. It will likely get progressively worse so its better to fix it when its possible.- powershift

Passenger rear door rattle
I've put a JBL Partybox back there with a 12" subwoofer, 2 7" mids, tweaters, 1000W and that was not a problem area for rattles. For mine rattles are where the rear plate is and the tailgate area.- powershift
