Weird how it pumped out all the fuel. I'd probably blame it on the tire shop. Maybe they swapped your OEM parts with junk parts to sell on Ebay.- powershift

The load range depends on the cargo and/or tongue weight and the axle capacity and you might have a stiffer ride than needed. I would go with the BFG KO2's for Utah. The Toyo and MT's would be good for Nevada but in Utah the terrain is much more rocky.- powershift

2012 LR4 infotainment problem. Help please!
That guys interior is different than mine. I'm pretty sure mine has AC lines in the cargo area behind the LR panel. He has a big void in his. Perfect space for a diesel heater or a battery pack.- powershift

Under Hood Insulation
Its for sound I thought. If you have a fire it might save the paint if it isn't too bad. But for the mice. Mechanical traps and peanut butter. I put mine next to the wheels on the ground so they die before they can get into trouble.- powershift

Rough 5-4 change ZF6
I would start with the basics before doing anything major by draining the fluid and changing the filter, but that kind of hard shifting sounds like it needs repair unless the fluid wasn't changed after break-in. Not that its a rule or anyone does that, but I'd do it just like on a reman engine.- powershift

Sounds like there is too much shifting. Try driving it in command mode and make your shifts. When I climb grades and go through passes, I don't use automatic shifting and drive it in the higher RPM range rather than the lower RPM's and leave it in gear unless its bogging and unable to maintain...- powershift

10/10. Wait until you can get more time to travel the way you want? I wouldn't want to fly somewhere to go camping, but if you are talking about staying in bed and breakfasts or a hotel then just keep it simple and rent a car.- powershift

Gear shifter squeak
When using command shift to upshift, I hear a squeak every time now. The noise is coming from inside #11 in the illustration below where the shaft is. Does the housing come apart so it can be lubed?- powershift

Removing rear seats?
I was thinking to save the leather and repurpose it. Tearing apart the 3rd row rear seats is not as evil as moving to coil overs so I don't feel bad at all about it. A lot of gear can fit inside the back there and with a 4k pound rear end, might as well use every square inch it to its fullest...- powershift

That looks like a crafty setup with the water tank. I've been thinking about removing just the 3rd row seat leather cushions and then mount battery cells to the seat backs to hide and permanently stow a battery pack and retain the original flat floor. Thoughts on switching from 5w20 to 5w40 as miles approach 200K?
Oil change frequency and oil level is what you want to pay attention to, not changing the oil weight. I'm targeting 7,500 mi using Mobil 1 but some people change it much sooner at 5k mi. After shutting the engine off I set an alarm for 10 minutes and ensure the oil level is full.- powershift

Yeah, a much shorter wheel base will have a rougher ride. But the flip side as you know is its more maneuverable. The only related situation I noticed in mine was the front end seemed to plant down then come back up more when coming to a complete stop more so than my last car that had springs...- powershift

If it has an air suspension it would feel soft. Cushy is how mine feels. Look underneath at the control arms and look for springs. Some people want to convert the air suspension to have springs instead. Even if you have springs, you could fix it with proper shocks that work with proper springs.- powershift
