Ok, just pulled a plug and cranked the engine with the plug grounded to the body and I can confirm I’m getting low spark (hear the plug clicking but can’t see spark) and I can also smell fuel coming from the open cylinder so I know fuel is getting into there. The main correlation that I’m fixated on is with the no spark discovery yoy made and the fact that my pistons had a clean spot as if fuel has been spraying on them and not igniting. I’ll let you know what I find when I borescope it- Jimmy Brooks

Also to add, I remember having weird throttle activity while driving as well. It happened 3 times, it would feel like as it built rpms the power output would fluctuate, I originally thought it was my transmission since it was replaced but it went away after a drive cycle.- Jimmy Brooks

Also only correlation I can find to the low pressure fuel pump is that right after I turn the car off it normally won’t start however if I turn accessory mode on for seven seconds then turn it off for 2 and repeat the cycle 6 more times and then crank the car, it will start first try. Timing Chains INA or Tsubaki how to tell?
here is another diagram Not sure if the tsubaki chains ever made it to the 5.0L v8 in the LR4s. All the parts websites never list any other chains for the LR4. I know they were in the 09 Jaguars but I don’t think they made it to the Land Rovers with the 5.0- Jimmy Brooks

Mystery speedometer
That is the weirdest looking speedometer I’ve ever seen on one of these cars. It’s not even the right font. I’m willing to bet that there is more of a story behind that car. Auxiliary chain and sprocket change
Would it be easier if I pulled the condenser and the bumper so I could gain access to the auxiliary chain easier? Just confused on how you did all the careful tensioner work on the aux chain by reaching thought the top of the engine. Seems like it would be too awkward but maybe I’m wrong- Jimmy Brooks

Don’t think I’ll need the pumps. They said they know it’s the chain and they could see the slack in the chain when they pulled the vacuum pump. I think you mentioned something about possibly letting me borrow timing tools to lock the cam shaft- Jimmy Brooks

Atlantic British and lucky8 don't have crank position sensors, and it seems like all my OEM Land Rover parts sites got shut. Does anyone have a reputable OEM parts sight that has good prices or is FCP my best bet.- Jimmy Brooks
