Hi from San Francisco. Having error code and cannot pass smog.

You're welcome. If the DTC won't clear, you have a hard fault. The transmission speed sensor is part of the valve body.

    LR4 - Sunroof Drain Pain

Do Not touch the battery cables together. That could fry circuit boards that have capacitors. On newer vehicles, definitely would affect the backup battery in the Telematics module. Pull the step plate at the right front door and inspect the wiring harness for breaks. The harness channel...

I participated in the Trek Challenge last year, at the https://experience.landroverusa.com/california/index.html Anyone that says the Defender is not a capable off roader, has NO clue. The Defender is a beast. There were ten challenges. Only one challenge was really extreme off roading. Lots...

    130 Trophy or Trek?

You can get a 130 with the third row delete. It has a nice flat floor and a massive storage area under the cargo area. The Trek models were actually used in the Defender Trek competition. Ten days of serious off roading. Trophy models were modified by JLR in New Jersey. '23 and '25 differences...

    HD package retrofit

Sorry. With the JLR cyber attack, I'm not able to access the wiring diagrams at this time. I can use the year and model to access the schematics. Either way, the connector should be there.

    HD package retrofit

The 48 pin connector is there. Since your vehicle didn't have the e-diff. the connector is blank. The e-diff connector would plug right in. I would need to have your VIN to verify exactly what you have.

    HD package retrofit

On the left side of the vehicle, right behind the rear wheel (on top of the frame rail) . There's a 48 pin connector. On yours, the connector will be capped off. The rear diff harness plugs into this connector.

    HD package retrofit

The temp sensor and lock actuator connectors will be part of the diff harness. Not pre wired.

Assistance - Possible new 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport HSE AWD HSE 4dr SUV

The Discovery Sport is reliable. Most issues are due to lack of maintenance. Always do oil changes at 5k to 10k miles. Going 21k miles like JLR says, will cause the engine to sludge up. Maintenance costs will always be higher on European vehicles.
