If memory serves, there is a pressure switch on the system that monitors high and low refrigerant pressures and I think it interupts the compressor solenoid if pressures are out of range. Our 2011 A/C is really cold with ambient temps of 95-98 or so; it rarely gets above that here, thank goodness but humidity is usually really high when temps are 95ish so there's that. Anyhow, I think your low pressures assuming refrigerant charge is correct are a result of a faulty compressor... -

Another Front Crossover - Right on Schedule !
for the SC 3.0, i would use the JLR aluminum front crossovers. I would avoid the aftermarket metal ones. Rear heat manifold I would use the oem plastic. unfortunately there are not jlr metal pipes for the NA 5.0v8 -

2015 Coolant leak, not cross overs
water pump replacement is fairly easy [at least in lr4 terms] but dont let that tempt you to ignore the front crossovers and rear heat manifold while you are in there. BTW, there is a brass replacement for that little plastic elbow if you so choose to "upgrade" and you might as well do the... -

Lr4 alarm sense of humor

OMG..LR4 glove box replacement
Just wanted to share this pig of a job with you all. Son told me his glovebox [upper portion] had broken. Sure enough one of the plastic hinges had sheared off so the box hung open sideways. I purchased a complete glove box assy from a breaker. Now for the fun. I think JLR built the car around... -

Suspension noise (possibly lower control arm)
never had the ball joint spin but if you do, you can put a hydraulic jack under the steering knuckle and put some pressure on it that will stop spinning until nut can be removed. -

Removing air suspension compressor
you will typically find that the bolts holding the compressor to the bracket have a bit of corrosion making them difficult; mine exhibited this and a big crack in the bracket. The top bolt is not that difficult with the right extension [wobble] and/or universal and socket. -

performance rovers in indian trail...pricey but very good. You may also check with brake and alignment in NE charlotte; they have a god amount of experience with the LR3s and 4s. -

Exhaust leak
others on here have reported broken exh manifold bolts over the years. I have not experienced it personally.
