    Okay, so this has been a 'to-do' think for a while on my 2010 V8, 212k km (owned since 2018). Took the plastic sill covers off today and quite a bit of rust. Looks a bit worse than it is i.e. no perforations thankfully. I will be spraying the whole of the underside with woolwax treatment shortly...

    2010 V8 212k km: New passenger side front brake caliper New drive shaft (front to rear) New pads and rotors (front) Took plastic sill covers off - not pretty :( Rust killer and woolwax treatment pending. No holes, but should have looked at earlier (owned since 2018)

    Found the issue! First hint was a silver band around the drive shaft (front to rear). Turns out the rubber diaphragm through which the driveshaft passes through at mid-way point had a tear in it. When accelerating it was moving and rubbing against a bracket. Quick fix was using construction glue...

    I did this a couple of years back. Don't recall re. The wires. No torque value for the screws. It's fun getting the rear pipe screws back in without dropping them into the abyss.     Yeah, not sure taking the engine out to replace control arms is really on the table. Spoke to my mechanic and he said in similar situations they cut the control arm into pieces to improve access to the bolts

    Ha! Never guess what it was. The pipe coming rearward out of the middle muffler has a flange on it where it goes it to a flex pipe.     Huh, yes, killing the wheel bearing is a concern too. I had sticking pins on the rear. Resulted in crazy uneven pad wear but now remedied. Yes, i have ceramic pads too, so in theory should be less dirty
