LR104315 but I see sport suspension and color affect the item number. That number is ebony/pimento with sport suspension. Maybe this is a crackpot idea. I was thinking it would be electronic but there is actually a cable and it's a different part number from the Discovery cable. Bummer.- remember5

I have not pulled the trigger yet but dreaming about a Disco 5, I wonder what the possibility of swapping the shifter lever out of a RR Sport to replace the dumb looking rotary dial. The Disco 5 SVX has a shifter that looked like the RR stick.- remember5

Change LR4 default vehicle height
Well that seems to be a common question and evidently there is no way to automatically drop to access mode based on what I can find in the manual and on line. Most users hit the lower button right before they get to their driveways and it's down when they get stopped. -

You're right mflecklr3, we are talking about different parts if that seal is what johdvd is talking about, my apology, I thought he was talking about the Birfield joints that are under the rubber pleated gaiters on the drive axles, not the seal at the diff. Thanks for clarifying. -

I wouldn't view greasing those birfield joints as a regular maintenance item, I would think they would only need attention if the rubber gaiter is compromised. My point to johndvd is that yes there should be grease in that gaiter. As for what type of grease, the LR manual specifies "the grease... -
