LR4 largest Tire size with lift on 18" Compomotives
Duratrac's are an amazingly good tire in all conditions. Compound is a little soft. Found that mine chunked a little bit when crawling and they wear a little quick but otherwise really good tire in off-road conditions. I feel like Goodyear knows if they built that in a 37" tire their MT/R... -

Wow, the stock tires are horrible in snow!
We do the tire swap on our X5 and the tires seem to be fine. The 2nd time install doesn't have leakage issues or anything. I would say unless you want to limit your trips to the tire shop and want to swap wheels yourself it would be silly to pay for a second set of wheels unless you can get... -

LUX or HD?
Haha, trust me, I continue to try but it is to the point that every LR4 we pass her comment is "I really liked that vehicle and it is so beautiful but it was such a POS!" Not sure we will own another LR product in the near future..... Boy do I miss it though. Something about that green... -

Cargo Ship & LR
I read somewhere that the tie down system in those ships is pretty impressive. Guy said the vehicles should all be fine and only moved an inch or so from where they were sitting. Now if the straps or anything breaks, that could be another story. Still want to know what made it list. -

LUX or HD?
LUX leather is softer but I didn't have issues in the short time I had mine. Dog didn't seem to scratch it nearly as easily as in my JGC I currently have. Granted the leather in the JGC is much softer than what the LR had. -

Fair enough. I would recommend the Richmond guys. Did a LR Club event with them and they were all very nice and knowledgeable people. All of them were LR to the bone and would be willing to find you what you are looking for. -

Meridian audio system
It is a very big cabin to fill with sound. You will notice that the surround sound is not very good in the LR4 compared to its siblings. -

OK, You're probably sick of this
Not sure what is busy about a BMW dash or un-intuitive. The iDrive is hands down the simplest and most efficient infotainment in a vehicle IMO. I have yet to drive a vehicle that has a system as simple and easy to use. LR's certainly no where close. I guess the only other question I would... -

Pending LR4 purchase questions
I believe it is a known TSB. I think we have discussed it somewhere else on here. I would have to search. I just know when the dealer had my 2014 in the shop there had been a woman who had driven hers too long with the bad tensioners and they were having to replace the engine. -

I think your call out about the Nav is the largest change between years. Having used both I recommend the newer one. Having driven both the V8 and SCV6 (owned the 2014 SCV6) I would say there isn't really a noticeable difference. Nothing about the V8 made me wish I would have bought used...
