I only had one at a time, for the record. Had to trade in the Sport for the LR3 when we added the 6th member of the family.:biggrin:
As much as I hated to get rid of the Sport, I love the LR3 (and no payments too!)
Have you bought anything from him before? I wouldn't recommend it, but I'm just one bad experience. The guys in Europe seem to like him.
Most of the dealers in Southern CA were ordering the black wood for the Black interior HSE's with the luxury package. I wanted the more natural...
I have had no problems with the Coopers in the snow, even the deep stuff, without chains - for what it's worth...
Here they are on my Sport in the snow.
I've never had BFG's on either, only Nittos and Coopers, so I can't compare. But they do have serious off road cred. The total diameter is a bit larger than the 285/60/18 Coopers and Nittos I've had.
285/60/18 = 31.46" Total Diameter
265/65/18 = 31.56" Total Diameter
31.5" is what I've...
It's my evil twin!
Looks nice.
Rock sliders - check
Brownchurch Rack - check
Thule wind deflector - check
18" 10-spoke wheels - check (are those BFG's?)
Next on the list - body side moulding, mud flaps, lamp guards, clear side markers, black ovals and center caps, Mantec plate...
I haven't had any trouble at check points with the Coopers and no chains. They see Land Rover and big knobby tires and just waive me right past. I've been asked if I have chains with me (which I do). But they never made me put them on, and I never have. They wouldn't fit anyway...
Same here. Small pet peeve is that it goes back on by iteself any time you switch TR modes. So if you're in Rock Crawl and switch to Mud/Ruts, for example, you have to turn it off again. Oh well.
1. Very slight rubbing in the front of the rear wheel wells under extreme full compression while off road (Rock Crawl Mode). Otherwise nothing. No damage caused by it. This is why anything larger than 285/60/18 is not recommended though.
2. Don't know. What does it look like? I'll check.
DSC mode default is always on. Any time you change TR modes, it will go back to default. For most off road applications where you're in Low Range, you'll be better off switching DSC off. In Rock Crawl and Mud/Ruts, you should have DSC off for sure. Leave it on if you're in Grass/Gravel/Snow and...
Don't remember the exact number, but you can only get it from Rovers North. They have the monopoly from the manufacturer to distribute in the U.S. Believe me I tried several other ways, including dealers in the UK, but this is the only way, short of buying one while you're in Europe and putting...
Finally got the non-winch underguard plate from Mantec. Had to special order it from across the pond. Installed it this morning. Pretty easy really. Here are the install photos.

They are spring loaded. Just slide toward the front to compress the spring, then pull out. The bulb just twist locks into it. No tools. 2 minutes total job time, tops.
I have the Coopers too and like them better than the Nittos I used to have on there. I've been as deep as I think I'll ever go in snow with the Coopers and no chains and had no problem. I believe they are snow rated. Got me past the checkpoint on the way up to Big Bear with no problem anyway...
Or you could do both like us - minivan for the long road-only trips and daily use by my wife, and LR3 for the snow and camping trips. Really the only option for a family of 6. Nice to have two 7-seaters that fit easily in the garage as well. And the sliding doors on the minivan keep my...
I had both the Nitto TG's and the Coopers, and I like the Coopers a little better. Quiter on road and stickier off road. I've had some unfortunately close side wall rubs on some very sharp rocks, and still no problems or punctures with the side walls on the Coopers. The Nittos come in 2 kinds...
No, not always that clean.
That's a Brownchurch rack. Rovers North is the exclusive American distributor. I wanted a lower profile, close fitting rack that only covered the area where the rails are. This was the best option. I added a wind deflector later for the noise, and it's perfect...

This is the non-winch one sold by Mantec. The one that goes with the winch is also available on the owner info site.
The 09's will only come in HSE trim. No more SE. The HSE will NOT have body colored wheel arches or bumpers standard. They will have an upgraded model called the HSE Lux that will come with that as well as some upgraded wood and other interior trim items. Basically the Lux package has been...
