    Pirelli ATR

I have had cars sit in my garage for 6-8 months, with very high ambient temps, no problems to speak of, and I do not even increase the tire pressure prior to storage either.

    Draw Bar / Adapt-a-Ball Set

Hi all. The part number is VUB504010 and it is supposed to work with an OEM hitch receiver KNB500080. Has anyone used this OEM hitch and know what the sizes of the tow balls that are included in the kit are? Thanks.

    Alignement vs. New Tires

Found the Pirelli Scorpion Zeros for 286.00 per tire, all out, will keep looking I guess. I noted that the edges of my fronts are more worn out than the tires at the rear, will definitely try rotation first and see if I can delay replacement by a few months.

    OE Sill Protectors

I salute those who take their rides off the beaten track with no fear of damage :) I am too chicken to risk my wife's LR3, but will gladly take my Toyota anywhere . . . . The more photos that better I am able to demonstrate to my wife what this truck can do . . .

    Does this look right?

Well, I guess, luckily, we do not have enough rain to test this out, but I agree with you that it is a serious enough issue. Not sure if owners form the UK, who have a lot more rain than most in the US, have dealt with this issue, you would think it would cause an uproar. Can you seal the...

    Alignement vs. New Tires

Should I rotate back to front, would you suggest a particular pattern? I may have to do this at home, so, should I be using the spare temporarily to change tires all around, this is a very heavy car and I am scared of using Jacks on their own! How easy is it to take the spare ou form under...

Anybody know the correct windshield wiper torque?

Not really, I would go finger tight and then 1/2 a turn beyond that and see how that works. Good luck.

How do I treat rusty muffler pipes

Looks like the rear muffler pipes (under the heat protectors) have surface rust on them... Are these stainless steel or are they your average steel pipes. Does it make sense to sand them lightly and perhaps paint them with high temp paint to reduce the likelihood of rust formation. I will...

    Increase mileage on LR3

Other quirky suggestions, replace wheels with 15 inch jobbies, use a canvas seat for the driver's seat, take out the AC and most of the stereo system components, get rid of the spare and jack, etc. . . . The list is endless

    Grill Hella Complete

Yes, photos during the day time please. Are you worried about reduced airflow going into the radiator? why did you choose the lights to be so close to each other. Maybe you need 4 lights and it would look much nicer IMO :) Great effort on your part.

    Alignement vs. New Tires

So, I book the car in for service (2008 HSE V8), I go in and tell the guy I need an alignment to address the car's 'veering to the right' problem. The service advisor asks if I had replaced my tires, I said no, because although I bought the car used, it only had about at about 27,000 miles, the...

    ANy one installed Sill Protectors

I sure did, they are already installed and they definitely add a touch of class to the car . . . I will post photos once I figure out how the heck to do it. If it is as easy as another forum I use for another car, I will post them in a couple of days' time. Happy New Year.

The obligatory "Show off your LR3' thread

Jwest, love your car, I guess you represent some of the customers this car was designed for :) A quick questions, is it a PITA to access the rear gate?

    Frequently Used Voice Commands

Do not get me wrong, I like the truck, BUT IMO, it has one the worst SATNAV units ever designed, my Garmin runs circles around it. Unfortunately, I have to live with it and it looks so ridiculous when you have two SATNAV units operating simultaneously in the car. I will have another go at the...

    Problems With the LR3

Does the dealer perform the alignment as part of the warranty coverage? My car is veering to the right and I have asked how much it would cost, they said 122.61. The car has a service contract as well up to 37,500 miles. Would appreciate your feedback.

    SATNAV Help

My car is a 2008 model, probably manufactured during the summer of 2007. Everytime I start the engine, the agree screen on the Satnav pops up, does this mean I need a new battery, or can I program the unit to remove this useless feature. The car runs fine with no warning lights all over the...

Lower Tailgate Moulding crooked on many LR3's

I doubt that this is normal. it is either the tailgate or the bumper, measure from the roof of the car down, it should be easy to tell if its the tailgate. If it was the bumper, it might take some more work depending on what had caused it in the first place, maybe a small bump . .

It appears that this car demands lotsa power and I would definitely spend the money. Would a Red Top from Optima do the job? I will try that once my existing battery runs down.

    Rejuvinating Interior Trim

Thanks for sharing that gtc, these are the instructions I have, all I need is the source for the paint used when painting the 6 spoke 19 inch wheels on my HSE, very metallic silver and not the Wurth paint unfortunately :(

    Dealer accessories

My dealer told me that the system does that on its own depending on how long the item has been on the shelf. I picked up the sill protectors for half off retail. I will now start inquiring about the parts I want every couple of weeks because the parts guy will not look out for these discount...

Not sure why, could be an AC leak somewhere, I would not wait and seek help ASAP due to the concerns you noted. Try disco3.co.uk, you might find help there. Good luck.
