Bluegrass is one the best dealerships (but not the cheapest), as the industry talk goes. So, you got lucky. Most of Land Rover dealerships are bastards in service department and that would surely be the downfall of the brand in the US
It looks alright and definitely caters to the luxury/bling segment of the customer base. I'd guess it's somewhere in the $65k range? For that kind of money there are other options to consider
I have 20" factory-optioned wheels on my '11 LUX (...in boringly safe silver) If anything, from my experience bigger wheels offer tighter handling/stiffer ride (+subjectively, better looks)
Did mine @ 5k miles and 8 months...but the dealer did not reset the service sensor and a month or two later the bloody "service required" message is coming up every time I start the truck
I too live in the Midwest with plenty of snow/ice most of the time (but not so much this year).
No problems whatsoever so far, even with decidedly ill-fitting for winter tires (Pirellis). That said, no car/truck is totally winter-proof and there's definitely a learning curve to how different...
Jaguar did in 2011 (...but only because they had a hard time moving those, I suspect)
Of course, it's not free but rather its built into the cost. Or maybe they make their service department eat the cost of maintenance
It find it sad and unnerving when Land Rover owners consider plastering "My other car is a Prius" on the back of their LR4, failing to see that those 2 don't belong together
Lexol is good.
But seriously, avoid any type of raw/one wash denim (...and I should know, cause I have a modest collection of japanese raw jeans) Denim dye stains are almost impossible to remove
What response?
If you wish to haggle, then haggle it down to cost or below...if you don't, then do not.
Prius is fine, yet pretty ugly. I also think Prius drivers hate gaz-guzzlers, Land Rovers including
.... I'd have no problems buying it
Mine (2011 LUX) had starter issues when I bought it new. After spending a couple of days in the service department, the starter was fixed, and now almost 9 months later, no problems at all.
The reason that it took them 2 days was because the problem...
I looked at an RR long and hard before purchasing an LR4. I liked them both, but I simply could not justify a $30k difference. An RR, I guess, would scream "big money" to those in the know; RRS did not make much sense and was neither here nor there. The gap between an LR4 LUX and an RR/RRS these...
An extended warranty thru" a Land Rover dealership would cost you between $2.5K -$6k, based on mileage and years of coverage you choose. Naturally, the price is somewhat negotiable, as the dealers would mark it up and try to make profit on it. I was considering it, but then realized that my...
I am not familiar with 2012 models and their pricing, since I have a 2011. But browsing my dealer's website, I've found out that 2012 LR4's in stock are way up there in price with the most expensive being @ over $65k, and the majority over $60k.
Mine was a 2011 silver LUX with everything...
I've had mine for 8 months now with 5200 miles. Zero problems (except the first day after delivery). 3 dealerships in the area(the closest 30 min away, the farthest 2 hours).
That said, I would not own any luxury car unless I've had a dealer within an hour at the most.
Do you know the true economics of a sale when you purchase a $1k suit from a department store? or a $100.00 pair of jeans?
One could spend much time agonizing over the unknowables of it all, or pay what is "perceived" to be a good deal based on relevant information available, fully aware...
For me, luxury car ownership has always been a two-step experience. I like to pay a fair price (that includes allowing the dealer to make reasonable profit and not coming off as a total dbag who squeezes every penny). The key word here being "reasonable", so doing homework is essential. On an...
LR4 at cost??? You ever heard about how economy works, sir, and the fact that a dealer needs to make profit to stay in business?
People who try to by a 60k truck at invoice (or 500 over) and then demand red-carpet service treatment make me puke
