...Starter relay not fully seated, per dealership. They spent a day looking for what went wrong. It ended being a bloody relay "not fully seated". What the hell is wrong with QC? Great dealership though, they lent me an LR3 to drive around for a couple of days.
It has been a...
I filled mine out with praise too, except for mentioning that no way in hell a $60k truck should have a starting problem at 30 miles and a check engine light when being delivered; consumer reports be damned
I actually like the idea of not having a third seat in a RR: I never have more than 2 passengers in my LR anyways. Swallowing the idea of an $80k price tag would be a challenge though. (Got to get the real thing, why bother with a pseudo RRS)
I think the reason for not offering a thrd-row...
I got one, and was very objective: Love the "truck" and the dealership but annoyed with an initial QC issue. Hope they get the message about the need to fix the stupid little things
I refuse to get along with anyone; you earn that right if you are the only LR owner within 100 mile radius. I also consistently drive 5 miles under the speed limit to annoy other drivers. I am a horrible person, and it'll get only worse when I get a RR in a few years.
I finally got it!
Even though I don't use Pandora, but I imagine it's all the same : data is being used up when not on wifi. Luckily, I don't have to worry about it , since I'm on Verizon unlimited data plan
Don't know about Pandora, but I connect my Droid -X thru' the AUX outlet using a cheap Monster cable and listen to XiiaLive Lite. Contrary to my previous expectations, I can swear that the sound is better than that on SAT. But then of course I listen mostly to electronic music channels (and...
In the rural midweat, no SAT radio problems at all, except for rare interstate overpasses
Not enough good stattions to listen to, going to discontinue my service and use my droid phone instead
I am with Geico MBI as well. I briefly considered a third-party insurance when purchasing mine, but the prices are truly thru the roof on those, and I was less than confident in their coverage. Geico, on the other hand, is a huge company with very good reputation. That said, Geico is on the...
Do not play one dealer against another in this price range, it is low-class. Also, sends a mesage to dealers that you will give them a bad CSI score. That means a huge financial loss for a dealership, since most LR dealers are low volume and can't overcome a bad score. Instead, do proper...
Special ordering is always an option, IMO
The trouble is that if one orders a luxury SUV bare-bones, with few options, one will take a hit when it's time to sell/trade it.
Also, if a person changes his mind when it's finally built/delivered to the dealership, then the dealer will indeed get...
:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:: gas mileage war!
All of a sudden this place here has become full of emotional violence and pent-up rage:mad:
Oh. yeah, I am averaging now 18 mpg. according to my computer, after 800 miles: am I a lethargic driver?
Yeah, I don't see a problem with it the same way I don't see a problem with Hyundai Genesis. It's just going to be somebody else's problem. People will vote with their wallets the same way they are doing it with Saabs, for example...or did it with Ford-era Jags.
When one starts messing with a...
LR pedigree is what piqued my interest towards the brand in the first place, as I really don't care about its off-road capabilities. Being manufactured in India is a definite turnoff for me, even though it very well may become a "better" vehicle as a result. I certainly don't see myself paying...
I now have 700 miles on mine: and the gas mileage continues to improve; now I am @ 18 mpg mixed driving (but no heavy stop-and-go). 93 octane fuel:biggrin:
It is either an absolutely horrible dealer(offering trade-in value instead of a buy-back, which is standard in those types of situations, as described by the poster)....
Or: there's more to the story than the poster shared with us...
I don't understand how it is that one is losing $11k if they are buying the car back.
You need to have the deal reversed and go back to square one, and then make a decision if you want to move to the RRS or RR HSE. Either one of those would be signicantly more expensive than the LR4
Metropolis looks very sharp...too bad it is black (although that is the reason it looks sharp), can't have another black car due to wretched winters with tons of snow/salt and yuck. Only if I lived in the West coast or Florida:mad:
