First, no where did I say any loss was permanent. However there is a degree of sulfation on the plate surface (which is by definition a discharged battery) unless the battery has been allowed to rest in that state for an extended period of time is reversible with the proper charging technology...- MilehighLR3

First Suspension Failure
My '05 SE had the same problem. Ultimately it dropped to the bump stops. The dealer installed a new compressor and haven't had it show up since, it's been about 6 months. If I recall the cost was something south of $500 but I have an extended warranty so my cost was zero.- MilehighLR3

Houm . . .. you're right, you would think that they would update the software during the inspection before they put it on the lot . .. . my '05 had exactly the same problem. My 05 had exactly the same issues (bought mine with 23K miles). The fix is a new Tranny ECU module. LR Denver East fixed it under my extended warranty policy but I think all told it would have cost me around $400 (parts and labor).- MilehighLR3

I had a transmission fault and it ended up being the ECU module in the transmission . . problem has not reoccurred. Seems the electronics are pretty sensivitive to voltage. I bought my '05 with the battery already replaced.- MilehighLR3
