I'm looking at the tire carrier as my final mod. Can't find a price for the terrafirma one. Gotta save up for those 5 compomotive rims + tyres (as they say over there).
On the Devon winch plate if you see the little cylinder on the passenger side that gets in the way the diesels don't have that dryer tube there and the tray needs to be cuz to fit. Also he needed to hammer something out of the way. You also need to cut all the little plastics on the inside of...
The Devon 4x4 will need you to cut the bracket and hammer a piece out of the way. Also if you read the install he had to search for many pieces since the Devon is design for a LR3 or LR4 diesel. So it will need adjustments
After long investigating I have come to the damn conclusion that they do not make one for the LR4. Terrafirma need cutting so you can fit the air dryer in front of the radiator. Devon sells one but on there website it states that its suitable for petrol vehicles and 2 lines under it states its...
Looking at your photos Umberto I didn't get that bar that goes on the front! Can you do me a favor and measure the thickness of it. I'll have one made that way I can put on the front piece of the skid
Finish putting it on and took it on a test drive on the rough streets of Tijuana and no irritating sound, rattle or clanking. Front skid is ready for big bear
I did find out what those spoilers thing are for. Keep some dirt out of the bumper but they failed at that tho!!! Took that off with a star screwdriver and removed the spoilers things and put the screws back on. Do this before you put the plate on you can't bolt the front and take those spoilers...
I got my set as a package. Two jack stand, floor jack, roller cart, medium tool box with tools for under 200 bucks from sears. Not top of the line but they will do the work and if the tools break I can just return them.
Yep don't trust the dealer you never know what tech you will get since you never see them...
Took my LR4 for the 30k service (oil change and break fluid change) and 4k miles later as I'm upgrading my skid plates notice a "small oil leak" well looks like they either mis the side engine plug that...
And 285/60x18 seams a bit big. You over compensating for something friend? Why push the limits with no noticeable difference in performance? Stick with 265/65x18
The reason why LR won't allow you to keep the truck in "off road" height 100% of the time is that it wouldn't pass some safety test but at "normal" height it will. That said in my local LR club there someone that has the rods 4+ years with no problems. Once I sell my kid to buy the compomotive...
