3rd row Moonroof visor screen problem

Time to make an appointment with your dealer. It happens.

    OEM Driving lights

Uh, auxiliary lights like that will blind you while driving in the fog. Sorry, that's how it is configured... You'll need to bypass the OEM wiring by yourself. Also, check your local laws...

    Tow Hitch Bike Rack Questions...

The hard-copy North America marketing brochure for 2006 does not mention it... nor does the landroverusa.com "build your LR3" option. Where do you see it? I don't think the lame "tow package" is back. Anyway, the LR branded rack is pretty good and has enough clearance. I wouldn't expect...

    Tow Hitch Bike Rack Questions...

As I posted earlier, the hitch receiver was orderable from the factory as a "tow package" for 2005... they gave you the hitch receiver (and, for 7-seaters, the generally pointless side internal holder/strap for it - why would I carry this when I don't need it?). This is what my 2005 was ordered...

    Tow Hitch Bike Rack Questions...

There is no real thing as a "tow package". If you had a 2005, you were able to order a "tow package"... but you basically just got the plug-in Class III hitch receiver. It just plugs in... (read your manual.)...

    Valentine 1 Mounting

An overpriced and bulky radar detector, which was really quite cutting edge when initally introduced. http://www.valentine1.com Still a fan and owner, but there are real competitors now.

    Valentine 1 Mounting

Same here. In 8 years of ownership, it's fallen off maybe 10 times... mostly due to me doing a poor job sticking on the suction cups.

Yes, the other rack can be ordered in Black. In fact, I've only seen it "in person" in black.

    Suspension fault on 3rd compressor

Nope, I know of compressor failures on both 2006 LR3 and 2006 RRS.... (In fact, there have been posters here.) Improvements/changes are made irregardless of model year. As Houm_WA experienced, not all suspension problems are related to a compressor failure. My dealer hasn't had to replace...

    Suspension fault on 3rd compressor

So, my LR3 is back. Interesting, AZSTALZ... guess we're just lucky. D'oh! They replaced the compressor and updated the ECU needed for the revised design. It works great again... and the new compressor is less loud when active and seems to fill the tank more quickly. Of course, I...

    Suspension fault on 3rd compressor

So, my early build LR3 HSE finally has been hit with numerous Suspension Failures in the last 2 days. Nothing that prevented the vehicle's use, however. (Along with the amber warning icon... it just prevented use of the height adjustment.) 99% chance it's all related to a failing air compressor...

    Beach Driving

Yes, sand is "bad"... this is why you must spend a good amount of time cleaning your vehicle afterwards. Power washers, obviously not set at maximum, are your friend. Just like snow and all the salt that is used on roadways... clean as soon as possible. You do not need to fear sand. LR3...

Potential LR3 HSE Buyer: Scared Off

Yes, late in 2005... LR "modified" the cup holder inserts as pictured. I'm sure if you search you'll find more references.

    Sirius adn Factory Radio Conflict

Time to talk to your custom installer. Did the installer wire the Sirius RF output into the factory antenna somehow?

Spare Rear Lights? Anyone have a set?

Ask your parts department. I'd be careful how dark you make them... I personally wouldn't want to impair the visibility at all. (Check your local laws, too...) The "import racer" crowd around here uses tinting paint and just does it themselves...

    Fuel filler access

Correct. The door does not lock on RRS or LR3 in North America. Do note if someone wants to "vandalize" your vehicle by pouring something in your fuel tank, a silly fuel door won't stop it. It's easily broken or pried open. It feels a little cheap that is doesn't lock with the doors, though.

Need help finding picture of that LR3

The headrest monitors aren't anything special. Any local installer can put very small screens in them... but it's not a good idea in my opinion. (Bad angle, too small, etc.)

    Fuel leak with replaced tank

If you want "kiss ass" customer service, Land Rover is not the one to deal with. You will run into some clueless and confused folks just trying to do their job. Lexus would deliver a fruit basket and send over masseuse and you'd forget about it. It's just how it is. Be patient...

Driving with the hatch window up!

The back two "sunroofs" don't open in LR3. They are just part of the "fixed glass roof."

Driving with the hatch window up!

I'm not risking breaking the mounts or struts doing this. I've only done it while carrying some extended length items and never on a freeway. I'm sure it would be fine for short distances... but...

    Loaners

In other words, Land Rover does not reimburse them for the cost of a loaner. Around here, I do not get a loaner unless it is the normal "scheduled" maintenance. Just a lift to a destination...
