    P*ss poor gas mileage

Didn't the gov. numbers say it's 14-17? If you're driving in the city mostly, I'm not surprised. I do mostly city driving but about 30% on the highway and still only avg about 250 miles per gallon. That said, I fill up with about 50-60 miles left as our gas light comes on around 40. No...

Rattle going over manhole covers and potholes - Please help

Unfortunately, I've never experienced that sound... then again, I have a 10" JL audio W3 sub wedge box back there. Even when it's silent, I only hear leather from my slight movements.

Front windshield electric defroster distortion at night

I have the same windshield and don't really notice it unless I'm looking for it and I have very bad eyes with an astigmatism. I guessing she will get use to it.

Very nice, Thigatl!!! Glad some folks with the white aren't afraid to get it dirty  I found this vid from LR after watching yours that I remember seeing as part of my buying research that really impressed me about the LR4 regarding water forging. YouTube - Land Rover...

    Road noise

There are stretches of interstate by my house that I do get what I consider a high-pitch whine but I had it on my previous vehicles with much better tires than our Conti's. In the LR4, it's more muted so I can say it's road noise. I agree with Finlayforprez, if you can take it in and have them...

    Squeaky Driver's Seat

Mine is like yours but I usually have my stereo up so I don't always notice. My dealer is on the other side of town so I will wait until my next oil change to take care of it along with a my periodic stereo silence upon starting the truck. if your close to yours and it gets too annoying, I say...

    Interior/Exterior Cleaning Product recommendations

For leather care, I was going to buy Connolly hide care products but from some folks here and my dealer, lexol products work well. My dealer service guy really liked it and said he uses it on his D90, which looks immaculate. I ended up buying the cleaner and conditioner as a two step process...

The flashlight, if the other poster bought the same one, comes from Volkswagon. i bought one for my old 4runner after stumbling across it in a men's health issue in 2003 as they had made it for their new vehicles. It's about $25-$30 from the dealership but you can probably find it on the net...

    Q7 vs. LR4?

If your just needing a competent 4x4 for colorado and are so concerned with reliability you should get a lexus gx460 as it's very good offroad and very reliable. The q7 quattro will be ok if your not planning on going offroad and need it just for snow, dirt and gravel.

Hey ndrenfro, Since you're using the johnson rods, do you have bigger wheels or tires or are you still running 255/55 r19s? Awesome pic, BTW.

Love your tires and agree, I wished they brought out a replacement before discontinuing the MTRs... My conti's are on pace to be replaced this fall and the michelin latitude tours are what I may have to go with because the pirelli atr's are not very good tires, per my tire guy and there are no...

    Anybody regret not getting LUX?

I totally agree for the price we all pay, a lot should be standard. The one that I think is a travesty it's not standard is the HD package....it's a LAND ROVER and not an explorer. Why you don't get a rear locking diff and a full size spare is sorta crazy. On my last offroading trip, an lr3...

    Anybody regret not getting LUX?

I think it's funny how when referencing the problems with the lux package, the cameras are always mentioned even though they are not part of the lux package...there are HSE only folks that have the vision package with cameras too. Threads of this topic always go the same way - the Non-lux...

    Off Road Paint Protection

I also have black and have gone off-roading a few times and must say the paint actually holds up very well with only very slight surface scratches from branches/shrubs...etc. the plastic trim by the windows is another story. they show scratches and I'm not sure if you can buff them out. I'm...

    Considering an LR4

Given all your requirements and concerns, get the volvo. Seems like you mentioned nothing of Lr4 that you really value enough other than I'm assuming looks that the volvo won't do well enough for your desires. The LR4 is the most capable offroad midsize SUV out there(per truck trend) but can...

    Front license plate

Does your state require front plates? It's required here in Texas and our dealers usually put them on for us as it's part of the purchase. If not, you should consider none as the truck looks sweet without, just my opinion.

    2010 LR4 - My First Warranty Repair – 4400 Miles

Yea, I also get the hiss sound after getting out of the car too but thought that was normal as it's been there since I bought the truck...interesting. I'll have to ask my dealer about this.

2011 LR4 HSE vs LUX package

Count, You crack me up...you want to keep it simple but you bought an LR? ; ) No one said the base leather was cheap. If you are referring to my post, I simply stated that my detail guy mentioned that the "premium" leather would hold up better if maintained...not sure how "cheap" was...

2011 LR4 HSE vs LUX package

I also bought the lux as the heated rear seat and steering wheel is nice in the winter. The auto high beam and HID lights look great and match the accent LEDs. Otherwise, the yellowish Halogens look goofy with the LEDs to me. The cooler is great in the hot arse summers here in Tex. It's nice...
