The gear oil capacity on the LR4 is pretty low compared to my Gwagen, it's actually half. So I changed mine early and plan to change it often. Now I need to flush the tranny.
All things being equal the rear often wear out before the front. That was happening to me too but not at that mileage. Mine lasted till 28K miles before I changed them. Still had some pad left...
I have EBC rotors and yellow pads on the front and rear. All good after 8K miles so far...I changed my rotors at 28K miles but they still had plenty left.
So the 2014's are the first year with the Eco feature? My '13 doesn't have it. I could see the system screw up and shut the car in inappropriate times...that totally sucks and is a serious danger. The NHTSA needs to be notified.

I'm with you on the insurance warranty, Umberto.
My '13 has 34K miles so I might have another year if I'm lucky. I noticed I lost some coolant so perhaps my pump is leaking slightly also.
I think there's only been 1 person on this board who warped his rotors. I replaced my rotors and pads at 28K but I still had plenty of rotor left. The rear pads were getting close to the sensors. The front were still good. I was told by LR technicians and an independent shop that they replace...
I once read that one of the reasons that rotors will warp on these trucks is if the wheels are over-torqued. Don't ask me what me what one has to do with the other. I never really understood it.
I never triggered the sensors so I didn't need to change them. I reused the old ones. I thought there would be 4 (one per wheel) but there's only two. One for the front and one for the rear.
Nope...I didn't change the parking brake pads. I simply cleaned them up and that was it. Didn't get any errors, parking brake still works, the earth is still spinning.
