I use EBC green stuff pads every time - sensors sometimes break anytime you are working around the rotors - I buy them off Amazon and they work well. I keep spare for front and back. 2011 on 4th set of Pads. 2nd set of rotors. I think brake pad costs are around $200 well under costs from... -

Coming back from Wyoming - easily was driving 120 for good 30 mins - felt quite stable Coming back from Aspen - over 100 for an hour plus... Great Vehicle! -
Ticking nose or just ticking bomb?
Interesting that it’s the Fan - I had video and pointed it out to dealer in 2012 (2011 LR4) and they never did anything still has same fan as new - I always assumed it was a dry lifter in engine or something.. does anyone have PN to replace so I can remove my clock feature? -

Gas smell after driving. No error codes. No visible leaks.
I took mine to Land Rover here in Scottsdale - they repaired for around $400-500 - right near the top flange. I didn't want to go boom while driving. Exhaust heat and gas leak not a good combination. -

Its just me - but I would buy a new sensor and replace it - much cheaper than new rotors if you don't notice your pads wearing to far... -

Ryanjl - thanks for the link to check vin against the bulletin - my VIN is listed - so what does that mean Landrover will do for me if I hear noise at startup.... I only see notes about replacing tensioners - but if noise is present hasn't the chain be stretched and maybe gears the chain rides... -

I replaced my MAP sensor just like noted in link. Almost immediately I still got the P0106 error. Was the new sensor from LR dealership bad or are there other things I should also check? I just find it interesting that I never had this issue until the day after I took truck in for its 75k... -
