Any interest in getting a Group Buy going w/ Off Roving Sliders?

I think those are slims based on the the adjacency to the plastic trims around the wheel wells, but it's hard to be 100% sure from this angle.

    Trails in New Mexico

I did the world's laziest search on Google and found about 40 trails and reports of trails with maps, images, ratings, narratives, etc... http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=4x4+trails+new+mexico I do NOT know which of these are suited for 1/2 day treks, but this should get you started. You might also...

Not sure about the install, but it's a nice piece of kit. DuckDive on this forum has one.

On the beach.. lets see if I have this right

So we weren't there and can't give you targeted advice, but nonetheless it might be helpful to understand how sand mode works (at least in theory). It actually retards the throttle, engages DSC, and forces a higher gear start upon take-off from a stop. This is so that you do NOT spin the...

Tune Up - Should I do it myself?

X2. Definately not on the list of tune up items for this rig. Spend your money on tires and brakes.

Thanks for the feedback Jim. I hear you on steep approaches angles!

    Cmgrover- Off Road

How old is your battery? At that mileage and those random electrical symptoms, it appears to be a classic case of low or unregulated voltage, which is something the LR3 is VERY sensitive too. If newer battery, perhaps the alternator?

    Adding "auto-on" headlights??

I saw that. Not a casual upgrade!

    Cmgrover- Off Road

LOL, you need to read your manual. That's not a suspension fault, that's your roll-over warning light that activates the SRS system (one of the stability control systems you have).

    Adding "auto-on" headlights??

I am not sure I understand your question correctly, but "day time running lights" using the headlights is a software option that can be configured by anyone with the factory's T4 Testbook or IPD (IDP?) software.

2010 Land Rover National Rally in Moab - what LR3 owners need to know

I don't know the answer to your question, but you can ask the organizers here: http://www.solihullsociety.org/bb/viewforum.php?f=60&sid=e55708a7691199a42a26309afcf938d5

Changing Parking Light on front of LR3

You should see the round gray plastic caps on the backside of the headlamp. There are three, one for high beam, one for low beam, and one for the parking lamp. Remove cap, remove bulb, replace. The bulbs are retained by a spring clip that might launch with considerable velocity into the...

My LR3 Just before the suspension failure!!!

Ryan, that's a nice looking trail. Great to see your rig out on it. Bummer about the strut. Sounds lime you've got more than a good handle on it.

    Storage/Sleeping Platforms?

There are several solutions available. The "best" is often considered to be Outback Drawers or Black Widow drawers from overseas. Locally, Adventure Trailer will make you what ever you want, and be far lighter, equally strong, and probably cheaper also.

Awesome! Welcome back to the burgeoning (finally!) market of the LR3! For rear tire carriers, you might also contact Simon Arch in Australia, who operates http://www.4x4intelligence.com.au He's a solid guy and good to work with.

Advice on a new vehicle? (to augment or replace the LR3)

It is a home built design (not by me), that I snagged a few months ago. I'm still getting used to it, and debating on how I want to optimize it for our needs. Fortunately, I have no more money, so I have the benefit of time to decide before taking any missteps in that regard :-) A similar...

New Member . . . Can Anyone Help? Diff Lock Info

Diff lock on a 1997 Disco, would be the Center Differential Lock I think. Using it is pretty straightforward. What it does it is split the power between the front and rear wheels, otherwise it typically goes mostly to just the rear wheels even though its full time four wheel drive. You would...
