I was giving these away and they're gone.
I just finished putting rock sliders on yesterday. The running boards that came off are in pretty good shape. They've been through a couple New England winters, so aren't perfect. If you want them you have to come get them. Simply too big and...
It is a sad known problem with direct injection engines. I'd love to see a manufacturer employ a port fuel injector that supplies roughly 25% of the fuel demand to keep everything nice and clean.
@q5sys based on that list of dealerships I've had a good experience with checkered flag JLR in VA Beach for parts. I don't live in the area so I can't comment on the service side of things.
I've found prices for parts to vary quite a bit from dealer to dealer. Might be worth contacting a few that are within a days drive from your location.
If the block deck has warped it is going to be a royal pain to get a good head gasket seal. Add the cylinder wall lining to the equation and I would recommend a reman motor.
If you're doing the chains on the v6 you should probably replace the supercharger coupler and the oil for it while you are at it. Front and rear coolant cross over pipes too.
Get a flat with a full load of gear and you'll love having the tire carrier. Within my first week of ownership I was less than a quarter mile to my destination and the tpms light came on. Parked and heard a tire hissing, wheeled the floor jack under and went about swapping the old spare in...
I'd make sure the fluid level is right. Filling the ZF transmission is kind of a pain. It is supposed to be warm, running, and shifted into gears under load.
I got the Terra Firma steelies for quite a deal. Defender steelies were around twice the cost.
I didn't come across the tuffant ones, what I'm seeing they were pretty pricey as well.
Put my LR4 back in it's native state, on jack stands in the driveway. I really want to run 18" steel wheels, but don't love the idea of spacers. thought I saw somewhere that the LR3 front brake caliper bracket (SEH500013) is a direct fit, so for $100 I ordered one. It does indeed fit...
I'd be very concerned about purchasing something known to be sensitive to overheating with an active coolant leak driven by a teenager or young adult. Teenagers and young adults do very dumb things, speaking from experience.
